Good until the button breaks!
Re: Philips Sonicare Elite e7300 Power Toothbrush I had this for about 6 months and then it totally stopped working; the green button started to tear inwards about 2 months ago and now it will not turn on nor recharge.

Good Product
Likes: Feels like your teeth are much cleaner; faster to brush teeth Dislikes: you have to keep the threads clean as water gets in and causes the gunk; brush seems kinda small would prefer a larger brush; the settings and timings are too gimicky for me I just like to brush for a couple minutes and be done. If you are the same you should go for a less expensive base model.
Whenever you have an appliance like this in a wet environment you have to take care of it. After about a year of owning I noticed the power button starting to peel off from the handle (it is rubber). Since it has a two year warranty I called customer service and they send me a brand new Sonic (different model) within 4 days. Great customer service and I now have a brand new toothbrush. Works for me!

Effective and Efficient!
I have been using this brush for over 7 months now. It cleans very well. Solid brush that gets the job done. The only problem is the "desposits" collected behind the brush and the handle. Other than that, i would recommend this to anyone looking for a sonic brush.

My Dental Hygienist will be so proud!
After years of my dental hygienist asking me why I haven't bought one of these sonic toothbrushes, I finally broke down and bought one. Wow, what a difference! I am a brusher and flosser, but the results are very real. My teeth are whiter and no build up of plaque behind the front teeth. Amazing! If you are someone with the same problems, a regular brusher who can't seem to ever keep the build-up of plaque behind the front teeth, you will love this product. If you are not a regular tooth brusher (ew!) than you need this product. The timing mechanism is extra good, because it makes you really take the two minutes twice a day that you need to keep those pearly whites, well, pearly white!

Great Toothbrush For The Blind
So you've read the reviews about how this is a great toothbrush that does the job and your teeth will be clean. This review chooses to focus on the color scheme of this Oral-B unit. I chose to rate this product with five stars. If I had the option, I would specifically rate this a 4.9, less than a perfect score, solely because of the questionable color plastics chosen for this toothbrush. To start it off, the front of the handle was made aquamarine. This hideous color should not match any sane person's bathroom decor. But if that wasn't bad enough, the back of the handle is a repugnant seafoam green color. Between these varying shades of hideousness, a strip of cerulean blue flake plastic accents the toothbrush. The brush head itself has a ring of royal blue around the neck, and the back of the brush head is cornflower blue. Of course, the bristles themselves are yet another random shade of blue. In conclusion, this is a very solid product that is held back by the fact that it looks like a hodgepodge of different color plastics, none of which come anywhere near matching or aethsetically pleasing. Why can't they just make this toothbrush a simple black, white, or any solid color? I recommend this product to anyone who wants clean teeth and can't decide between the color green or blue.

Long lasting, very neat, effective.
I have 4 of s-200, one s-320 for my father now. My wife, son and me use one at home, I have one at work. I bought them on Ebay for less than half the retail price, so I can buy more to save the trouble to switch heads. This unit is better than original sonicare in almost very way. It cleans teeth at least as good as sonicare, but the design does not require you clean the root of the tooth brush head regularly like sonicare does. The brush head has a better quality than sonicare, after 2 years of regular use, the head cleans almost as new. Although oral-b recommends you to replace it for very 3 month, I found it is only necessary for manual teeth brush, fast vibrating cleaning action preserve the brush cleaning power much much better, it does not bend the brush that much. I had the first s-200 for more than 5 years now, it still charges very well and cleans strong. The German really did a wonderful engineering job. My first two sonicare only lasted two years in comparison for their batteries to reach the end life.

Great Brush
I bought this toothbrush about 2 years ago and have happily used it ever since. It leaves the teeth feeling clean and is not too bulky to hold. I find the timer buzz convenient and easy to ignore if you chose so. Can't see why people find it annoying.
Both my husband and myself use the same model - we just change brush heads. The brush head replacements are inexpensive and come with different colored rings. The battery holds charge forever, which is great for trips. We've taken it to 8-10 day trips without the charger, and used it both twice a day, and it still had charge. Highly recommended.

great item, my ortho sees a difference
Hello, This brush is AMAZING. My ortho and my dentist noticed a difference in my teeth after using it for 1 month. The sanitizer keeps my brush clean. The battery lasts for a long time. Excellent and highly recommended--well worth the price. I had another electic toothbrush (Braun) which was much cheaper but didn't do as much. I see my teeth are whiter and my braces do not get discolored anymore. Excellent!

Philips Sonicare Flexcare Professional with UV Sanitizer
If you've used the other Philips Sonicare toothbrush, you will be happy with this. It is lighter, less bulky and easier to assemble and clean than the old one. No twisting the brush part on and no magnets to deal with. The UV sanitizer is a plus as is the appearance of the storage base.

Much better than the older Sonicares; somewhat pricy
After years and years of using an Sonicare Advance, I finally decided to upgrade to a newer Sonicare.
The pros: +The newer Sonicares are better looking, have a better weight (solid, but not heavy), and are smaller than the older models. +The older Sonicare brush heads were a bit squarish. The newer ones are more naturally shaped. (By the way, unless you have a very large mouth the smaller tips are superior- they get in the corners much better). +The older Sonicare heads used magnets (visible and easily set off) that rusted, and you'd have to screw on the heads onto a compartment that very easily got gross. Easier to put on, no magnet fuss, no disgusting build up (the manual recommends you rinse it once per week, both the top of the handle and the brush bottom, where each connects to the other). +The new brushing modes are good. Some are kind of gimmicky (GoCare doesn't clean your teeth well enough) but the clean modes and MaxCare modes (MaxCare does the 30 second cycles for each quadrant of the mouth, plus an additional 15 seconds of pulsing, which helps with braces and such). +The new charging base is smaller, and this one includes a very small charging base that's convenient for travel. +The UV sanitizer is simple enough to use. I always misplaced my caps, having a spot for the brushes that sanitizes is handy. +The SmartStep feature is good for first time Sonicare users (slowly ramps up intensity to build up your gum strength). +The quad pacer (a little buzz that tells you when to switch where you're brushing) is a very helpful little feature that tells you when to switch what area you're brushing.
The cons? -Brush heads are expensive. The handles last 5+ years, but the brushes are outrageously expensive. Buy them whenever they're on sale and just save them. Save coupons and buy at wholesale clubs if you can. -The UV sanitizer, according to my dentist, is kind of useless...
Overall, excellent brush, cleans well, ergonomically good. A bit expensive, but quality only hurts once (except the brush heads...).
Tips? -Sonicares seem to use a little less toothpaste, in my experience. A pea sized amount is good. -Wet your brush head with water before putting the toothbrush on and brushing. Otherwise it doesn't clean as nearly as well. -If you've owned a Sonicare before and don't want to use the SmartStep feature (2 weeks of gradually increasing the power), put it on the charging base and hold the power button for 5 seconds. One beep means you turned it off, two beeps means you turned it back on. -If you don't like the quadpacer, you can disable it in the same way as the SmartStep, just use the "brush mode" button instead.

Phenomenal Product!
This is the third Sonicare I have owned and I can't begin to express to anyone how great this toothbrush really is. They should call it the ultimate tooth cleaner as that is what it really is and I am amazed how they keep improving each model. This model is better than the previous 2 models in that it now allows you to reach the back teeth much easier which is always really hard to do and get the serious spots that need cleaning the most. Another great feature is that keeping up with using the Sonicare 1-2 times a day actually whitens your teeth and as a coffee drinker this is key.
Rating :
GREAT PRODUCT
so refreshing to your oral health. use to own one of the older, first models...but nothing compares to this one. being able to have the different options on how to use this brush is a plus, and having the sanitizer is like having a fresh clean brush everytime you use it. keeping it in the charger, no matter how many times you feel like brushing, it is always ready for you. the handle is longer and this makes the reach better for through cleaning. everyone should own one, it is well worth the money.

Questions & Answers
Question : do you use a electric toothbrush and what do you think of them ?

Question : Can you use an electric toothbrush on a 1 year old?
The only electric tooth brushes I've seen for sale for kids start at 3 years old, so is it bad to use an electric tooth brush on a child younger then 3? My 1 year old loves my husbands electric toothbrush but i don't want her to use it as i'm worried it will do her harm.
Some people are getting the idea she doesn't like to have her teeth brushed with an electric toothbrush, she loves it thats the problem, she will stay perfectly still and have her teeth brushed with one but a normal toothbrush she isn't keen on.
Lazy? the tooth brush doesn't go in and clean your teeth while you stand there it's no the jetsons!!! LOL
Answer:
It is very likely that she's teething and the massaging effect of the toothbrush helps. Depending on her development, 1 yr is when she ought to be getting some of her first few teeth in (give or take some months). The toothbrush itself won't have any adverse effect on the gums. The age has more to do with the toothpaste - as mentioned earlier - your child doesn't need to be using flouridated toothpaste at this age. But she's not actually brushing her teeth, so don't worry about it.
Having said that (and this will sound stupid, but it is legitimate) make sure your husband is in good shape dentally speaking. Babies get the bacteria for decay from their parents, so whoever shares it will inevitably pass on bacteria to her. Its no big deal, but make sure your husband doesn't have any large, untreated cavities.

Question : Why is an electric toothbrush considered essential if you want to reduce tartar and gum disease?
I have read that brushing your gums and teeth too hard can reduce enable and cause your gums to recede but have been told that an electic toothbrush is essential if you want to reduce tartar and gum disease. I would think that the electric toothbrush would be considered the same as brushing your teeth too hard. Seems to contradict. Anyone?
Answer:
No, an electric toothbrush is not essential.
What is essential for preventing tartar buildup and gum disease is to keep plaque off your teeth.
Sticky white plaque is a soft mass of germs stuck on your teeth, and it takes about 12 hours for it to turn crusty into tartar from the calcium bicarbonate in your saliva. So the trick is to brush off the plaque before it has a chance to turn crusty.
That means you should brush your teeth, tongue and gums thoroughly after each meal, and before going to sleep, using a soft-bristle toothbrush. Floss every night, eat less sugary foods, have regular checkups every 6 months to have a dentist or hygienist pick off any tartar that accumulated.
If you use a manual toothbrush properly, it should not cause gum recession.

Question : What's the youngest age to use an electric toothbrush?
I've just bought my first electric toothbrush and think it's fantastic. So much so that I'm thinking of one for the kids too, but I'm concerned they may be too young.
Some of these brushes are on sale with a recommended age of 3+. My children are 4 and 5, but as they're still learning to brush manually, is it wise to stop this process and give them the electric brush? Or should I hold off a few years?
Answer:
id say about 13 or when they are going through puberty. when the children are young their teeth are still developing and need to be brushed manually as doing it by hand always wins. Hope i helped <3 groovy_surf_chic99 xxoo

Question : will i need a special plug, to use my electric toothbrush/shaver in spain?
I know i will need adaptor plugs for other appliances,
but my electric toothbrush (same as a electric shaver plug) has a 2 pin plug, will i be able to plug it into the wall in spain?...or will i need a adaptor?,if so what sort of adapter?
cheers
Answer:
Both toothbrushes and shavers can be run from a basic 2 pin plug in spanish hotels/houses/apartments.
I bought my toothbrush from the UK, it was fitted with a 2 pin plug and works great, our many visitors bring shavers etc., and they have no trouble at all.
You can also buy plugs here..............2 pin to 3, and vice versa, but you should'nt have any trouble.

Question : How to make masturbating with an electric toothbrush fun?
I have been masturbating with an eletric toothbrush but I can't seem to get myself to orgasm. Can someone give me any new ideas on how to make it more intense?
Any new techniques? Or special positions to make it interesting and fun? Or anything like that would be good.
Answer:
With a little imagination, just about anything can be used. Just remember to keep it clean, anything that is going in or on your vagina needs to be clean. Also, you'll want to be able to clean the item, so it will be ready for next time. NEVER insert anything that can break-off, like a bananna, or something. You wouldn't want an embarrising trip to the ER!!
The kitchen is a good place to start, a lot of utensils have very interesting handles. Some are nice and thick, others have a lot of ridges or bumps. Also you'll get a kick out of seeing somebody use it after you have... :)
You can also use the tub, turn on a GENTAL stream of WARM water, then lay under the spout with your feet up on the wall. Position your vagina right under the stream, it feels wonderful!!!
An adjustable shower head works just as well. You can also use an electric toothbrush, not the brush side. Place the back of it against your clit, and turn it on.
You can also hump your way to an orgasm. Just stack a few pillows, climb on top, squeeze with your legs so that they are firm, then start thrusting back and forth. If you have a stuffed animal, you can ride his face the same way. A bear or pig, or something with a snout adds extra pleasure.
You can add even more pleasure by inserting something in your butt. Start small and work your way. You can use lotion as lubricant. Your finger works well, you can also use a tampoon or something similar, just remember, nothing breakable, and you need to be able to remove it when your done.
Let me know how it works out for you.

Question : electric toothbrush?
can anyone tell me how the chager for an electric toothbrush work? its plastic on plastic, where does the charge come from?
Answer:
Induction coils. There is a metal coil inside the toothbrush, and one in the charger. The charger will pass a current along the wire which creates a magnetic field. The field is stong enough for it to 'connect' to the coil inside the toothbrush. Very slowly, it charges up.

Question : What are the advantages of a sonic oral B electric toothbrush compared to a professional care toothbrush?
Is the sonic technology better for your gums? Does it really matter? Or do the high end electric toothbrushes pretty much deliver the same? I have bad receding gums, probably from adding too much pressure, so I need a good good toothbrush if I want to keep my teeth for a long time.
Answer:
I LOVE my sonicare toothbrush. It's the Cadillac of all toothbrushes, but that is my opinion.
As for brushing, you could use a toothbrush from the dollar store and be fine.... as long as you do it correctly (45 degree angle at the gumline) and for two minutes at a time, twice daily. Be gentle with your gums. :)
Oh, floss daily and get regular maint. appointments at your dental office. :)
have a wonderful day

Question : Manual versus electric Toothbrush which is the best?
Hi I have bought an electirc toothbrush and have been using it for about a fortnight now, but went away and took a manual one with me. When I used the manual one my gums started bleeding, which is unusual for me. Is this because of the electric one not cleanign my teeth properly or what?
Which is best for my teeth, electric or manual?
Thanks
Answer:
Yes, electric toothbrushes usually work better for everyone, some more than others depending on the type of electric toothbrush. Many include timers which tell people how long they should be brushing, so they brush longer. With a manual toothbrush, brushing technique is much more important or you don't do as good a job.

Question : Can an electric toothbrush wear down enamel?
From what I hear, gentle brushing is always encouraged , yet with electric toothbrushes I noticed that the bristles are not that soft. It got me wondering that the thousands of rotations per minute could cause even more wearing down of the enamel. I brush my teeth around 6 times a day, and I'm worried.
Answer:
I think it's the brushing 6 times a day that you should be worried about.
Yes, gentle brushing is best and a soft bristled brush is best. There is no "standard" between toothbrush companies when it comes to what "soft" is. Find a brand that works for you.
Electric toothbrushes should be applied with minimal pressure... basically just allowing the bristles to touch the teeth/gums.
