Questions & Answers
Question : Is it wise to use an electric toothbrush if I have erosion on every tooth?
i was thinking about getting an oral-b or sonicare electric toothbrush, but i'm not sure if i should because i have erosion on every tooth. my teeth are sensitive from the erosion, but more so from the gum recession i have. what should i do?
Answer:
FYI, both of these models have SOFT bristles which is very good and should be the ONLY kind used.
Using an electric brush to gently brush won't harm your teeth.
To treat the abrasion/attrition/erosion a dentist must be seen.

Question : What is the point of a plug-in electric toothbrush??
Surely, you`re not supposed to have electric plug sockets in the bathroom so, what`s the point of charging your toothbrush in another room????!!!!LOL
Answer:
Its cheaper than a vibrator!!!

Question : How do you brush your teeth with an electric toothbrush without applying pressure?
I love my electric toothbrush but I'm having a hard time holding it to my teeth without applying at least some pressure. I have a small mouth so I don't know if that's adding to my problem. I would love some suggestions or advice. My gums are very sore.
Answer:
Hold the toothbrush in your fingertips, put it into your mouth in the cheek area then close your mouth a bit and brush. Don't tighten your cheek muscles or purse your lips, keep everything relaxed. With the electric toothbrush you use it to guide the bristles around your teeth and gums rather than using it like a manual toothbrush as there is no need to activate it to be effective.

This link has detailed information on Power Brushing including a video that is very useful. If your gums are very sensitive initially try using some Orajel (babys teething gel) on them prior to brushing. This should numb them up a bit. Also if you have an Oral B power brush there is also an "Extra Soft" brushhead available from the drug store.

Question : How do i use my electric toothbrush?
I bought one of them electric toothbrushes & i kind of need to know how to use them.. you know with the normal non vibrating standard toothbrushes you have to move it around in circles yourself on your teeth? well since an electric toothbrush does that it self do i still need to move it around in circles on my teeth when brushing? or just move it around on my teeth & let the bristles do its job when they are spinning & turning? how do/should i use it please?!
Answer:

Question : What's the youngest age to use an electric toothbrush?
I've just bought my first electric toothbrush and think it's fantastic. So much so that I'm thinking of one for the kids too, but I'm concerned they may be too young.
Some of these brushes are on sale with a recommended age of 3+. My children are 4 and 5, but as they're still learning to brush manually, is it wise to stop this process and give them the electric brush? Or should I hold off a few years?
Answer:
id say about 13 or when they are going through puberty. when the children are young their teeth are still developing and need to be brushed manually as doing it by hand always wins. Hope i helped <3 groovy_surf_chic99 xxoo

Question : Is an electric toothbrush worth it if its not sonic?
I have an Oral B electric toothbrush that cost $20; needless to say, it is not sonic. So my question is: is there much difference in a manual toothbrush/electric toothbrush/sonic toothbrush that I should just go back to a regular toothbrush or buy a sonic electric toothbrush?/
By the way, when I say 'sonic', I'm not necessarily talking about Sonicare; I'm talking about the sonic technology (the deal with how many times the brush head moves/rotates).
Answer:
absolutley not i have tested and found out all they do is fool you and they VIBRATE!! Which does not help your teeth so its basically a more expensive heavier manual brush, unless you get the really expensive ones then use a manual with duel brissles i found it worked very well

Question : How do you clean the gunk from an electric toothbrush?
I hope you guys can help me with this since Philips (Sonicare maker) couldn't even properly answer this question. Almost every week, disgusting dark green colored film collects inside the electric toothbrush head. First of all, is this normal? is anyone else having this issue? I have to take a manual toothbrush to scrub out the film. Is this a common occurrence with electric toothbrushes, am I supposed to ignore this gross film and just change the head every 3-4 months? It's getting to be a hassle to have to clean out this film every week!
Answer:
THIS FILM IS A NORMAL OCCURRENCE WITH THIS BRUSH. ONCE PER WEEK USE A PAPER TOWEL DAMPENED IN RUBBING ALCOHOL TO CLEAN THE INSIDE OF THE CAP.
THIS MAINTENANCE MUST ALSO BE DONE FOR THE RUBBER CONNECTOR OF THE BRUSH HEAD.
REMEMBER TO REPLACE THE BRUSH HEAD EVERY THREE MONTHS.
I USE THE SONICARE ELITE MODEL.

Question : Best way to remove the head from an electric toothbrush?
My wife recently bought me one of those vibrating electric toothbrushes. I tried it out last week whilst she was out at bingo and I think I've broken it. I've tried all different ways to remove the brush head but can't seem to shift it at all.
I've tried long nose pliers and even some soap but it's still stuck.
Maybe I shouldn't have stuck it up my ass last time I was jerking off. I'm really constipated.

Question : Is it ok to use an electric toothbrush if you wear braces?
I want to change my toothbrush ,so i was wondering if an electric toohthbrush is good to use.
Answer:
An electric toothbrush is a great idea to help clean your teeth while in braces. May I recommend a Sonicare or an Rotadent. You can get a Sonicare from your dentist or at your local Wal-mart. A Rotadent you can only get through your dentist.

Question : How do I use an electric toothbrush properly?
I just got an Electric Toothbrush for Christmas. I've used it a few times since but it just doesn't seem like I'm using it right. I brush for 2 minutes and brush thoroughly but when I look at my teeth afterwards it doesn't seem like it's working properly.
