Sonicare Replacement Brushes -- Excellent buy, excellent service
Both my wife and I love our Sonicare electronic toothbrushes, and that makes us especially good customers when it comes to the replacement brushes. Happily, replacement is only necessary once every six months, so the brushes are an excellent buy ... and they do a superb job of service.

Sonicare Essence Toothbrush 2 pk.
We have been very please with these tootbrushes. It has worked out well, as we share the charger between the two brushes. We have never used any brushes like this in the past, but decided to try them. The angled neck makes all areas easy to reach. I also appreciate the 30 second intervals so that I know when to move on to a new quadrant.

Best Sonicare configuration for two people!
This is another one of the effective, durable line of power toothbrushes from Sonicare, which was the brand recommended by my dentist. The best reason to purchase this particular model is that it comes with two complete brushes and one charger for a reasonable price. Most couples don't need two separate chargers in the master bathroom, and this configuration allows you to save a little money over the purchase of two complete brush/charger sets. Neither one of us needs the charger on the same day (each brush gets charged approximately one time per week, which takes about 18 hours for the full charge).
As far as the performance of this product, it has been reliable for the past two years. The signal between "quadrants" of your mouth is just noticeable enough to tell you to move onto the next area. It really leaves your teeth and gums feeling clean and fresh.
Brush head replacements are a little pricey, but easy to find on sale. If you join the Sonicare website, they send you e-mail coupons periodically for $5.00 off of a package.
I highly recommend this configuration of the Sonicare!

Great high-speed toothbrush
After many years of good service, our old sonicare toothbrush's batteries finally gave out. I found the best price for the E 5500 on [...]. and ordered it. It is just great! At first, it tickles a bit since it is new and has lots of power, but this works even better than our old one did when we bought it new several years ago. I am impressed by all of its features and the price is really good since it comes with two brush heads. If you get a sonicare, it is a better deal when you buy one with two or three brush heads. You will not be disappointed!

Customer Review :
Great Toothbrush
I had an original Cybersonic toothbrush that lasted me for years and actually did not need replacing. However, I liked the idea of a little smaller "footprint" on the bathroom counter and this new one is perfect for that reason. It also has a little dim light on it which serves as a nightlight. This model seems to have more power to it and is easy to use. My teeth feel very clean after use and I actually look forward to brushing! In addition, the brush heads are terrific. I knew what the small one would feel like but the larger one is fantastic. I'm a grown adult with a small mouth on the inside and wasn't sure if the larger brush head would work for me. Well, have no fear in that regard. It's terrific. I really like the round brush heads. This is a great teeth cleaning system and I do highly recommend it. The other attachments, which can be affixed to the main base if one so desires, are also excellent tools for overall oral care. So, all "pros" and no "cons" with this one. Hope this review helps! Oh, and on a hunch, I did get the extra brush heads even before I knew the larger one would work for me and glad I did it.

Cybersonic 3 As seen on TV
This should be a very expensive toothbrush. I can't believe SurpriseEyes.com sells it for the price that they do. Compared to the Sonicare and the Oral B this product is great!

Don't Buy Unless You Like Wasting $
Honestly...the brush cleans great - best brush I have ever had with a toothbrush...and after a couple of weeks I have noticeably whiter teeth and healthier gums....which is great...BUT....the thing needs new batteries EVERY 2-3 DAYS. Who can afford to spend $ on batteries every week? Its ridiculous...save yourself $ and frustration and opt for the Elite series...trust me.

Stick with the rechargable model.
After having trouble finding replacement heads for my original Sonicare toothbrush, I purchased two of these toothbrushes thinking that it would be convenient to have something that didn't have to be plugged in to charge and would be compact enough to take away. Didn't think I would have to replace the batteries very often, after all you only use it for 4 minutes a day! Well, was I wrong! After the first week, the batteries needed replacing every 3rd day. Customer service replaced the product but the problem continued with the new ones. Additionally even when operating with new batteries, sometimes the brush turns on for only a few seconds, then shuts off. I have just mailed them back and am awaiting my refund. For $35 each this is not a cheap product! I expected much more from Philips. I would definitely NOT recommend this product.

Questions & Answers
Question : Is it ok to use an electric toothbrush if you wear braces?
I want to change my toothbrush ,so i was wondering if an electric toohthbrush is good to use.
Answer:
An electric toothbrush is a great idea to help clean your teeth while in braces. May I recommend a Sonicare or an Rotadent. You can get a Sonicare from your dentist or at your local Wal-mart. A Rotadent you can only get through your dentist.

Question : How do you prevent an electric toothbrush from discharging in a crowded toilet bag/case when traveling?
Use an Oral B Braun Electric toothbrush which alwsys has the little silver button getting depressed in my toilet case/bag/travel case and always reaches the destination dead!
There is a little reset style button at the back of the brush? Can that be the trick?
Answer:
Wrap it in something soft (Bubble wrap, clothing--a shirt, perhaps) so that there's less pressure on it and that the button is less likely to be pressed.
If that doesn't work, you may want to look into getting a small pencil box that you could fit your toothbrush in. Just put it in, close it, and you're on your way.

Question : Best way to remove the head from an electric toothbrush?
My wife recently bought me one of those vibrating electric toothbrushes. I tried it out last week whilst she was out at bingo and I think I've broken it. I've tried all different ways to remove the brush head but can't seem to shift it at all.
I've tried long nose pliers and even some soap but it's still stuck.
Maybe I shouldn't have stuck it up my ass last time I was jerking off. I'm really constipated.

Question : How do you clean the gunk from an electric toothbrush?
I hope you guys can help me with this since Philips (Sonicare maker) couldn't even properly answer this question. Almost every week, disgusting dark green colored film collects inside the electric toothbrush head. First of all, is this normal? is anyone else having this issue? I have to take a manual toothbrush to scrub out the film. Is this a common occurrence with electric toothbrushes, am I supposed to ignore this gross film and just change the head every 3-4 months? It's getting to be a hassle to have to clean out this film every week!
Answer:
THIS FILM IS A NORMAL OCCURRENCE WITH THIS BRUSH. ONCE PER WEEK USE A PAPER TOWEL DAMPENED IN RUBBING ALCOHOL TO CLEAN THE INSIDE OF THE CAP.
THIS MAINTENANCE MUST ALSO BE DONE FOR THE RUBBER CONNECTOR OF THE BRUSH HEAD.
REMEMBER TO REPLACE THE BRUSH HEAD EVERY THREE MONTHS.
I USE THE SONICARE ELITE MODEL.

Question : Can an electric toothbrush wear down enamel?
From what I hear, gentle brushing is always encouraged , yet with electric toothbrushes I noticed that the bristles are not that soft. It got me wondering that the thousands of rotations per minute could cause even more wearing down of the enamel. I brush my teeth around 6 times a day, and I'm worried.
Answer:
I think it's the brushing 6 times a day that you should be worried about.
Yes, gentle brushing is best and a soft bristled brush is best. There is no "standard" between toothbrush companies when it comes to what "soft" is. Find a brand that works for you.
Electric toothbrushes should be applied with minimal pressure... basically just allowing the bristles to touch the teeth/gums.

Question : will i need a special plug, to use my electric toothbrush/shaver in spain?
I know i will need adaptor plugs for other appliances,
but my electric toothbrush (same as a electric shaver plug) has a 2 pin plug, will i be able to plug it into the wall in spain?...or will i need a adaptor?,if so what sort of adapter?
cheers
Answer:
Both toothbrushes and shavers can be run from a basic 2 pin plug in spanish hotels/houses/apartments.
I bought my toothbrush from the UK, it was fitted with a 2 pin plug and works great, our many visitors bring shavers etc., and they have no trouble at all.
You can also buy plugs here..............2 pin to 3, and vice versa, but you should'nt have any trouble.

Question : do you use a electric toothbrush and what do you think of them ?
i use a braun oral b professional care 7000 its great my battery is dying though so migh replace it with oral b triumph. my teeth feel dirty if i brush by hand, couldn't do without a electric toothbrush.
Answer:
Everytime i brush my teeth i use an electric one then floss.
It's what my dentist recommended.
Braun are the best!

Question : At what age can you use an electric toothbrush on children?
I wonder if it might be easier on my little one if we used an electric toothbrush... she's two.
Answer:
I don't think there is an age, but I would personally not use one until after the child has all of their teeth in because of the tenderness of the gums when they are coming through.

Question : What has been your experience with your electric toothbrush?
Who is currently using an electric toothbrush that really works. What brand do you use and why is it effective? I have cavity issues and I want to improve my oral health. What are your opinions and experiences? I'm considering between Sonic Care and Hygionic. What do you think?
Answer:
well i have an oral b sonic complete. which is just a sonicare made by a different brand. it is the exact same thing.
i dont know anything about hygionic.
but i know that the oral b sonic complete. and any kind of sonicare toothbrush will do the best job there is. (except for your hygienist-lol)
definitely pick one of those. i feel (from experimenting with different brushes) that brushes using sonic. definitely do a better job than conventional cheap electric brushes.

Question : Can you ruin the battery by soaking your electric toothbrush in bleach?
I soaked by electric toothbrush in straight bleach not to long ago and it was fine for awhile, but now doesn't seem to want to charge. Could the bleach have ruined the battery?
Answer:
SOAKING ANYTHING ELECTRONIC IN ANY LIQUID, ESPECIALLY BLEACH WILL RUIN IT. TIME TO BUY ANOTHER AND FOLLOW THE MAKERS INSTRUCTIONS.
