good for some

These are great toothbrush heads, but they're a little big for my mouth. so if you're like me and don't have a very big mouth, the smaller one might be better for you. My husband loves these though.

Can't Bet This Price

I use the Oral-B Toothbrush and this head usually costs a lot more. This larger head makes cleaning your teeth easier and more thoroughly. A great price and I hope to see more like this.

Wrong handle

The handle doesn't fit any of the power units we have, too bad. I hope to get a power unit some where.

wrong handle, but I can't return

I ordered the wrong handle, and not until after I received it did I notice that it is considered a "hygene" item and cannot be returned. So I have wasted $14.00. I just assumed that all Braun handles fit any Braun charging unit. Duh.

electric toothbrush handles

I had an Oral B 3D toothbrush that I had purchased 10 years ago. It came with two power handles, which my husband and I enjoyed. They both went bad within a week, and I was looking to replace them. A new toothbrush kit with charger and a single handle was about $75 to $100+, depending on the model. I found two handles (these were two speed and my old ones were only single speed) for only about $15 each. So we have two new electric toothbrushes for about a third of the cost of an entire kit, even with shipping. What a great deal!

Perfect replacement.

My former power toothbrush was dying, I got this replacement unit for a super price --also an additional charger--, what else can be said. My former power toothbrush (same model) lasted for several years, I cannot even remember how many.

Why pay for a Charger when you have one?

My old Power Handle wore out after 5 years of superb service! This is a great replacement. Charged it put a toothbrush on it (from the old one) and it worked great!

Questions & Answers
Question : Is it difficult to be accepted into a dental hygiene program at a community college?
I am planning to enroll in a dental assisting program in January. It is a 15 week program after which i will become certified. After i am certified and working as a dental assistant, how difficult is is to get accepted to a dental hygienist program at a community college? Any info you can give me about this field would be very helpful! Thank you so much.

Answer:
Dental hygiene programs are very selective in their admissions. You will need to have excellent grades in your college courses. Don't despair. I've had two da's go on to hygiene school. They took college courses at night at the local community college. Good luck in your career!

Question : Which is a better field to get into respiratory therapy or dental hygiene?
I am thinking about entering the medical field, but i only want to do 2 yrs. i was thinking about dental hygiene and respiratory therapy. Which one is better? and what are the advantages and disadvantages?

Answer:
Hi Ceci - you can get into dental hygiene faster than you can get into respiratory therapy (6-8 mos.), but you can make more as as a respiratory therapist AND literally help improve someone's quality of life. Dental hygienists are very necessary, and thank God we have them; I just hear people grunting and moaning any time I'm in the dental office. Respiratory therapists are helping people help themselves and get back on the road to recovery. (it takes about 2 years for a RT, unless you take an accelerated course. Here are a couple of links that can help you get an idea of what you would be headed into: www.pmi.edu/careers/respiratory_therapy.asp www.medical-career.org www.dvc.edu/respiratorytherapy umary.edu/UM/.../Undergraduate/MathScience/respiratorytherapy Best of luck, Ceci! Question : Anyone in the dental hygiene program at the University of Bridegport, CT?
I need to know if the school has a good dental hygiene program. If not, what other options do I have in CT? I do not want to pay all that money to get a crappy education; I am very worried because I haven't heard any good things yet. I love a good educational challenge.

Question : Why are Dental Hygiene programs so competitive if Dental Hygienists are in such high demand?
I am thinking about becoming a dental hygienist and i hear that they are in really high demand, but if they are in such high demand why is it so hard to get into a dental hygiene program in college???

Answer:
Because dental hygienists are in high demand there are many applicants for a limited number of spots in the program. When there are more applicants than spots the school will choose the highest ranking candidates. This makes a dental hygiene program more rigorous to gain admission to.

Question : should i leave of my university where i study sociology and go to a community college to study dental hygiene?
I'm in school getting a sociology degree but I really really really dont want to. I was orignally going to school to do dental hygiene but I didn't get in the dental hygiene school at my university. So I was wondering instead of letting my parents spend 24,000 dollars on my schooling each year maybe i should go and do something i really want to do. The only problem is that they wont help me pay for a community college education (lol, parents), so I would have to come up with the money myself. What should I do? any ideas?

Answer:
No matter who is paying the bill, there's not a lot of point in getting a degree in something you don't want. I'm not sure what your intent was to do with a sociology degree, but a bachelors might not buy you much in the way of jobs. Dental hygiene is a field with a lot of job opportunity. Talk to your parents and let them know you just don't have interest in the soc field. On the other hand, if you only need a few more credits for your degree, it's probably worth just finishing it up on the theory that any degree is better than no degree. Good luck.

Question : Is Dental Assistaning a more popular career than Dental Hygiene?
Because...I see commercials about becoming dental assistants all day, everyday but i don't ever see any about dental hygienist.I also can't find any 2 yr or community colleges that offer dental hygiene in TN.How can it be a growing career if its so hard to find a school to go to for it? I'd really hope to be a dental hygienist, but I just don't know about it anymore. It seems too difficult to get into.

Answer:
Dental assisting is a great career field and it is certainly growing. An entry level dental assistant can make around $10-$15 per hour without experience and has the potential to earn $30-$35 per hour with several years of experience and additional certifications (radiology, coronal polishing, pit and fissure sealants, etc.) You probably don't see a lot of commercials for dental hygeine because most programs are competitive and so they don't necessarily need to advertise to attract students, they already have more apply than they have space for. Dental hygeine has also become a field that is in demand most start of making around $45,000 - $50,000 per year and will make $65,000 after a few years of experience. Dental hygeine requires at least a 2 year associates degree and several licensure exams to practice in a particular state.

Question : Be a dental assistant then work on dental hygiene?
I want to spend a year taking my general ed credits then the next year take the one year dental-assisting program. After I finish, i want to work as a dental assistant while i finish my general ed to transfer and study dental hygiene to be a dentist. Is this a reasonable plan or are there any better ideas?

Answer:
That's a great idea! You will gain lots of experience working at a dental office by the time you finish school and become a dentist. You won't have any problems finding a job after graduation. GOOD LUCK!

Question : Is it wrong for me to withhold my vote from a man because he has poor dental hygiene?
I'm not tolerant of poor dental hygiene, it's not that hard to pick up a toothbrush. I just find that plain nasty.

Answer:
i would say thats your choice, but its a silly thing to base a vote on!
