Ideal for braces!

This tip is excellent for accessing the areas that are difficult to reach due to the wire in braces. The tip lasts for a reasonable amount of time and needs to be replaced due to the color being no longer visible (the time at which the manufacturer advises to replace the head). Even though the color was gone, I kept using it for a while afterward (since I could not find the tip in local retail stores) and it was fine. I eventually replaced the tip when the bristles became bent - due to my shoving it under the braces wire. In summary, I believe this to be the best option for cleaning under brace wires - after all, my hygienist told me that my teeth were exceptionally clean in a rather surprised tone.

NOTE: This tip is not for cleaning your entire mouth: It is very small, and I anticipate it will wear out rather quickly.

what's the word for not durable?

This device works great for about 10-20 uses. The bristles break down quickly. Its better to use an old full size brushhead and cut the out ring of bristles. This works much better.

Ultreo Toothbrush

Product arrived promptly. been using for 2-3 weeks. Teeth feel very clean. Proof will be at the next dental appointment in the fall.

I'm pleased with this toothbrush

It took a while for my Ultreo Ultrasound toothbrush to arrive, because they obviously were not in as much of a hurry as I was, but it did arrive and I'm very pleased with it.

A couple of people remarked that it was large, but I don't notice it being any larger than any other electric toothbrush, and I have a fairly small mouth. It works well. I don't know if it works BETTER THAN my previous brands, but it may. Time will tell.

I have used the most popular sonic toothbrush for years. I cannot believe how much cleaner my teeth feel using the Ultreo Ultrasound Toothbrush. I definitely recommend it.

Question : What is the optimal dental care regimen?
Example: *Visit dentist twice a year. * Floss after all meals and snacks with power flosser. * No sugar in diet other than what is in fruit. * Brush after all meals and snacks with a power toothbrush such as Sonicare. * Irrigate mouth with WaterPik or similar device. * Clean tongue. Probably no one is this perfect. But what is your idea of perfect dental home care? P.S. To dentists and hygienists: Here's your chance to tell us what the perfect dental patient would do.

Question : best power toothbrush?
i injured my dominant hand, and im really having a bad time using my other hand to brush.. my girlfriend is starting to smell something wierd.. HELP! anything can you recommend: -->i can buy in the phillippines, -->cheap, at most PhP 1000 ($200) with shipping if needed -->has well known reputation -->been proven to whiten teeth (optional) please include these in your ansers: model brand price where to buy etc... i need some serious answers here, posibly by dentists or someone who use power brushes themselves.. and yes ive tried googling it but apparently i cant reach someone who actually knows the product.. and please no "go see your dentist" answers... apparently people from health>dental are not giving me the answers.. i'll try my luck here.. thanks in advance..

Answer:
I purchased a sonicare elite 9800 from my dentist, got a$20 discount for purchasing from him. I used to use a Crest Spinbrush, it sucked b/c it was battery powered (AA bat.) it would cut off whenever I applied any pressure. Not to mention it rusted up....cheap. So i've had my Sonicare since June, can't live w/o it. -U change the head every 6 months -That particular model is the best they have and the only one that comes with 2 different style heads and speed controll -It has a built in timer and give a suggested map of the mouth to hepl get optimum results -Can stay charged for days if you wanna travel and cant plug your charger up, comes with travel kit included -whitens and brightens teeth -Prevents you from wearing down your (irreplaceable) gum line -No other toothbrush will give you a cleaner mouth!! I really love it and I'm buying my mom one. Worth every penny

Question : Have any of you ladies felt the vibrating power of the Oral-B Pulsar Toothbrush yet?
That baby does things no other vibrator can do.

Answer:
That's why my girlfriend has one under her pillow.

Question : Healthy Foods to Lose Weight?
Ok, I know I am overweight... I don't need anyone to tell me to eat healthier but I have two issues. Time and Braces. I was working on eating healthy foods before I got braces last August. Now, all of the healthy foods I had worked into my diet are out. And the one thing that was stopping my sugar cravings (hard candy) is out. Any suggestions. Just an FYI, I can't eat hard foods including nuts, anything with seeds, raw vegitables or salad (unless I am home and near my power toothbrush). Oh, and I am lactose intollerant.

Answer:
Try the sugar free Jello pudding for your sweet cravings. Also Weight Watchers frozen fudge bars are huge, chocolate and high in fiber. ( don't know how that works with the lactose intolelrace) Really increase your fiber. Oatmeal, high fiber cereal, breads. Soups are really good for you too. Just don't eat creamy ones.

Question : I bought my hubby a sonicare elite model electric toothbrush for christmas?
he always used manual so he was kind of taken aback at the power of the brush. I caught him sneaking back and using the manual one. He only uses the electric one after keeping it off the charger so that some of the power is rundown. It cost a decent penny, how can i get him to use it exclusively?

Answer:
If he doesn't like using it, I wouldn't make him ... The same thing happened to me actually. My fiancee bought me one (because I wanted it!) but I ended up not liking it. It just wasn't for me, and I switched back to a manual. As for the Sonicare, my sweetie uses it exclusively and it has worked out perfect for the both of us :)

Question : Which electronic toothbrush is best?
Which electronic toothbrush is better Oral-B Triumph Professional Care 9000 or Sonicare Elite 9500 Custom Power Toothbrush. Since the price for both of them is similar, i would like to buy one which is more comfortable for sensitive gums, any suggestions.

Answer:
Sonicare Elite is my top choice. There are many different model designations, but the "motors" are all pretty much the same. The kits are different because they pack different accessories. Some have two brush heads and some have four. Some have a travel bag and some have a wall-mount charger instead of a counter top charger. Just read the label carefully and buy what you need. Bear in mind that you will have to replace the brush heads about every six months, so see if it is cheaper to buy a few extra brush heads in one of the kits. Otherwise, buy a Sonicare, read and follow the directions. The directions are very clear and easy to understand. Sonicare is especially recommended for someone with braces, by the way. If you want to try a Sonicare without taking out a loan, I've got good news for you. I just bought one for THIRTY DOLLARS. It uses two "AA" batteries, so you are not paying for a charger, etc. I have no idea how long the batteries last (yet), but $70 would buy a boat load of batteries. It seems to be equally effective as the rechargeable version with the new batteries.

Question : Is it worth it to get an Oral-B D9511 Plak Control Ultra Power Toothbrush with Timer and Charger?
I'd like one with a timer on it but it's taking more than a month or two to get it shipped and delivered on Amazon(43 bucks). Is it worth it to get it or what? Where else can I find one?

Answer:
We have timer toothbrushes for our kids and they are great. The kids know that the toothbrush has to stay in their mouth until it goes off. We've just got to hope it cleans their teeth in that time! Check out these epinions: http://www.epinions.com/content_28955348612 It's available on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Oral-B-Plak-Control-Ultra-Electric-Toothbrush-TIMER-NIB_W0QQitemZ250038473277QQihZ015QQcategoryZ40082QQssPageNameZWD2VQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Question : How do I brush my 20 mos old's teeth?
My 20 mos old son rarely lets me brush his teeth. I give him tons of praise when he opens his mouth of 5 seconds to let me brush them but this is rare. I've tried just plain holding him down, begging and pleading, praise, yummy tasting toothpaste, brand new powered toothbrush that he picked out! I'm scared his teeth will fall out! We don't let him eat lots of sugary food but he does eat some. Well he grow out of this? Should I force him? Help!

Answer:
We have double sinks so we got a step stool for my 18 month old and he has always brushed his teeth when we do. We set out a small Pooh Dixie cup and he has his little tooth brush and paste ready...just like us. It has worked for us ever since he could walk.

Question : Sonicare Toothbrush????
I am currently using an Oral-B Vitality Sonic toothbrush that i bought for 20 bucks at Target. Is this good enough for periodontal gum recession or would a sonicare toothbrush be better? If so, which Sonicare toothbrush (there are many)? Also, how would it be better? this is a link to my current toothbrush http://www.oralbprofessional.com/us/products/power/powvitalitysonic.asp

Answer:
I prefer the Oral-B Triumph over the Sonicare. It just works better for me. The Vitality is good as long as you brush often enough. And with periodontal issues you must must must floss at least once a day.

Question : What do you want in a kids' electric toothbrush?
In terms of power, batteries, weight, cost, charging station, maintanence cost, a little cartoon character on it...etc.

Answer:
I dont want an ordinary toothbrush with the straight-flat edge, more like the flexible version and reach in all places. Rechargeable batteries, minty flavor toothbrush, a free sample of recommended toothpaste when it is sold, the toothbrush doesn't become that over-worn.
