Cheaper at Sam's Club!

The brushes are fine, but when you add in the S&H they are cheaper at Sam's.

An easy, safe, effective way to brush

Dentists all over the country are recommending the Oral-B electric toothbrush. There are several reasons. It does the work for you, vibrating thousands of times a second, it lets you clean your teeth without scraping your gums with a toothbrush, which can cause them to recede and bleed, and it reaches between your teeth to catch plaque and germs. This is a wonderful toothbrush, and I recommend it. However, if you want a review of a toothbrush, you'll read the toothbrush page. This is a page for replacement heads.

There's a lot of confusion about replacement heads for Oral B electric toothbrushes on Amazon, and I just want to give you all some facts. There are only three kinds of heads for ALL Oral-B electric toothbrushes. Flexisoft EB17, Extrasoft EB17, and Ortho OD17. I prefer Flexisoft EB17, which is what this item is. (The Extrasoft is a little too soft, and the Ortho is overpriced)

The reason I mention this is that the prices are all over the board for what is the same product. Make sure you find the best deal, because they're all the exact same product, listed multiple times! The number after the dash (for example EB17-3) just means how many toothbrush heads you'll be receiving. You can easily find the best deal by taking a look at all the products offered on Amazon, and dividing the cost by the number of heads.

Questions & Answers
Question : How do you prevent an electric toothbrush from discharging in a crowded toilet bag/case when traveling?
Use an Oral B Braun Electric toothbrush which alwsys has the little silver button getting depressed in my toilet case/bag/travel case and always reaches the destination dead! There is a little reset style button at the back of the brush? Can that be the trick?

Answer:
Wrap it in something soft (Bubble wrap, clothing--a shirt, perhaps) so that there's less pressure on it and that the button is less likely to be pressed. If that doesn't work, you may want to look into getting a small pencil box that you could fit your toothbrush in. Just put it in, close it, and you're on your way.

Question : Which kids electric toothbrush to use?
I am looking for a kids electric toothbrush for my 7 & 8 yr old girls and I'm not sure which one to buy. They tried one of the adult ones and didn't like it because it vibrated too much and made their nose itch from all the buzzing. I want them to do a more thorough job brushing and think an electric brush may help. Please recommend a kids brush that does not have a lot of vibrations.

Answer:
Oral B makes some very inexpensive battery powered brushes called Kids Stages starting at about $4. Your child may prefer a rotary brush head which is on the Oral B Advance Power Toothbrush for about $15. My own preference is the Sonicare Extreme e3000 which is about $25. You can get compact brush heads to fit all the Sonicare models and are preferred by children. All of these are battery operated which is why they are inexpensive. Both companies have higher-end models with rechargeable batteries. Along with the higher prices are more functions and the ability to change the speeds so it doesn't vibrate as much. You will have to determine what your price point is for your children. Links to all are provided below.

Question : Is an electric toothbrush worth it if its not sonic?
I have an Oral B electric toothbrush that cost $20; needless to say, it is not sonic. So my question is: is there much difference in a manual toothbrush/electric toothbrush/sonic toothbrush that I should just go back to a regular toothbrush or buy a sonic electric toothbrush?/ By the way, when I say 'sonic', I'm not necessarily talking about Sonicare; I'm talking about the sonic technology (the deal with how many times the brush head moves/rotates).

Answer:
absolutley not i have tested and found out all they do is fool you and they VIBRATE!! Which does not help your teeth so its basically a more expensive heavier manual brush, unless you get the really expensive ones then use a manual with duel brissles i found it worked very well

Question : What is the Best electric toothbrush? I heard of two: Sonicare and Oral B?
I'm planning to get a electric toothbrush and want to know which should I get. I know of two that are popular but not sure which is best. Of course everybody have their likes and dislikes of the two but I just want to get a survey so that I can have a better grasp of which is best suited for me. In your opinion, which brand do you like most and why? Thanks.

Answer:
Sonicare Elite is my top choice. There are many different model designations, but the "motors" are all pretty much the same. The kits are different because they pack different accessories. Some have two brush heads and some have four. Some have a travel bag and some have a wall-mount charger instead of a counter top charger. Just read the label carefully and buy what you need. Bear in mind that you will have to replace the brush heads about every six months, so see if it is cheaper to buy a few extra brush heads in one of the kits. Otherwise, buy a Sonicare, read and follow the directions. The directions are very clear and easy to understand. Sonicare is especially recommended for someone with braces, by the way.

Question : How do I use an electric toothbrush properly?
I just got an Electric Toothbrush for Christmas. I've used it a few times since but it just doesn't seem like I'm using it right. I brush for 2 minutes and brush thoroughly but when I look at my teeth afterwards it doesn't seem like it's working properly.

Question : How do i use my electric toothbrush?
I bought one of them electric toothbrushes & i kind of need to know how to use them.. you know with the normal non vibrating standard toothbrushes you have to move it around in circles yourself on your teeth? well since an electric toothbrush does that it self do i still need to move it around in circles on my teeth when brushing? or just move it around on my teeth & let the bristles do its job when they are spinning & turning? how do/should i use it please?!

Answer:
yes

Question : How to remove Sonicare electric toothbrush head??
I have a Sonicare electric toothbrush (model a4100). I can NOT get the replaceable toothbrush head out. Is there a certain way you are supposed to remove it?? I've just grabbed it and pulled as hard as I could (and I tried to remove my mom's too...and hers won't come out either)!! Am I doing something wrong? Is there a specific way to remove the brush?? Thanks!

Answer:
You should just be able to gently tug on the head and it will come off. If not, try rinsing it off good - you might have buildup from toothpaste between the head of the brush and the base of the brush.

Question : How useful is using the power tip with the oral b electric toothbrush?
I floss and brush regularly, but my dental hygenist regularly hands me the tiny internal brushes. I find them hard to use on the inside (gum side) of the teeth. I noticed that the oral b electric toothbrushes come with a powertip. I wonder if using it is useful in addition to the flossing and brushing.

Answer:
its ok

Question : Manual versus electric Toothbrush which is the best?
Hi I have bought an electirc toothbrush and have been using it for about a fortnight now, but went away and took a manual one with me. When I used the manual one my gums started bleeding, which is unusual for me. Is this because of the electric one not cleanign my teeth properly or what? Which is best for my teeth, electric or manual? Thanks

Answer:
Yes, electric toothbrushes usually work better for everyone, some more than others depending on the type of electric toothbrush. Many include timers which tell people how long they should be brushing, so they brush longer. With a manual toothbrush, brushing technique is much more important or you don't do as good a job.

Question : What is the point of a plug-in electric toothbrush??
Surely, you`re not supposed to have electric plug sockets in the bathroom so, what`s the point of charging your toothbrush in another room????!!!!LOL

Answer:
Its cheaper than a vibrator!!!
