Good product, lousy supplier
Dear Amazon buyer: I bought 9 Oral-B PRO WHITE Brush Heads. The product is great. That's why I bought it. The offer was great: 9 brushes for $29.11. But I was only sent 3 brushes and have received no response to my complaint from the suppler, NETWEB OUTLET. Therefore, my advice to you, dear Amazon buyer, is "Let the buyer beware of NETWEB OUTLET."

Braun Travel 100-240 volt toothbrush charger
If you want to take your electric toothbrush with you when you travel abroad, this is compact, and works (with an adaptor). You just have to check that the opening in the bottom of your toothbrush, where it sits to charge, is the right opening, and unfortunately, it was hard to get this information anywhere on the web. (This was the only one I found that specified the voltage!)

Exactly as advertised
Product performed perfectly. It is always a pleasure to be able to use the US conveniences overseas without having to transport a converter

Be careful!
I bought this charger, and it won't fit either of two Braun electric toothbrushes my wife and I own, although they were bought a different times. Be careful to check the model number and compare it with the list that's given in one line of the description so that you don't waste twenty bucks as I did.

Questions & Answers
Question : Can i get into college for dental hygiene and then after finishing it continue for dentistry?
I was wondering if i could do dental hygiene at first then, if later on i decide to go further then will i be able to continue to become a dentist.
Answer:
Many students do that first. If you decide to continue on to be a dentist, many of your credits can be transferred so that you will not have to retake many of the courses. Good luck, my dear!

Question : Are there any books/material to prepare for the admission test to the dental hygiene program?
I would like to know how difficult is the admission test for the dental hygiene program in ontario.
Answer:
Unlike dental school, law school, etc. there is no national entrance exam for dental hygiene. Admission is based mostly on GPA.

Question : I'm currently in the dental hygiene program and have to have 65 patients. How can I find patients?
I am currently in the dental hygiene program at Indiana University NW of Gary, IN, and have to have 65 before graduation. We have to find our own patients. The clinic offers a 50% discount to all college students as well as takes just about any insurance plan. However, I am new to the area and do not know very many people. How can I find patients?
Answer:
my god come to the UK we are in desperate need of dentits!
our dentists here can only take on a certain numkber of nhs patients so a lot of ppl are without good dental hygene.... come here u will earn a packet!

Question : What level of math is good enough to do well in the dental hygiene program?
I am currently in 11th grade and taking Algebra 2 with an A in that class, I am thinking of taking Pre-Cal during the summer so I can do Calculus for my senior year if it helps me get into that program or do well. Do you think Calculus is an important necessity for the dental hygiene program or will Pre-Cal be good enough?
Answer:
You really do not need math for dental hygiene. Dental hygiene is a science based profession so you will need to do well in science. However, if you plan on attending school to be an actual DDS then you will need several math classes. They do endo (root canals) and are required to know how to calculate certain measurements. Math is NOT my best subject and I have made it through hygiene just fine but you do have to know your science. Most colleges only require that you take a beginners math class for your BS degree and that is it. I only had to take like algebra 131 (or whatever the course number for the beginning math class) I hope you know that you have chosen a good career! Hygiene is VERY financially rewarding. I am in my last semester of my hygiene program (after the Christmas break) and I cant wait.
Good luck and "good cleaning"..:-)

Question : Why are Dental Hygiene programs so competitive if Dental Hygienists are in such high demand?
I am thinking about becoming a dental hygienist and i hear that they are in really high demand, but if they are in such high demand why is it so hard to get into a dental hygiene program in college???
Answer:
Because dental hygienists are in high demand there are many applicants for a limited number of spots in the program. When there are more applicants than spots the school will choose the highest ranking candidates. This makes a dental hygiene program more rigorous to gain admission to.

Question : What is the best way and also the fastest way to get into Dental Hygiene Program?
Myself. 1,Japanese nationality. 2,Studied English. 3,Never taken SAT,ACT,ASSET, CPT and GED tests. 4,Going to community college fall in 2007. 5, Took COMPASS test and got scores below 80 in reading and writing English and got below 40 in math. 6,I was placed in RED080, ENG090 and MAT070.
The question is that I thought I can take chemistry, biology and classes for dental hygiene pre-reqs from this fall, but the international counselor told me that I cannot take those classes yet because I need to finish ENG and MAT first. What is going to happen in next semester spring 2008? Am I going to be able to take any of those classes(Chemistry, Biology etc)? Or have to take ENG and MAT whole year?
Answer:
u still hv to clear math/eng. for english get urself into an immersion prog where u hear only english words. within 3 mths u can master it. maths needs tuition.
probably they will allow u to take one other subj. plconcentrate and get a good pass in math/eng. if u dont, u cant move forward

Question : Is Dental Assistaning a more popular career than Dental Hygiene?
Because...I see commercials about becoming dental assistants all day, everyday but i don't ever see any about dental hygienist.I also can't find any 2 yr or community colleges that offer dental hygiene in TN.How can it be a growing career if its so hard to find a school to go to for it?
I'd really hope to be a dental hygienist, but I just don't know about it anymore. It seems too difficult to get into.
Answer:
Dental assisting is a great career field and it is certainly growing. An entry level dental assistant can make around $10-$15 per hour without experience and has the potential to earn $30-$35 per hour with several years of experience and additional certifications (radiology, coronal polishing, pit and fissure sealants, etc.) You probably don't see a lot of commercials for dental hygeine because most programs are competitive and so they don't necessarily need to advertise to attract students, they already have more apply than they have space for. Dental hygeine has also become a field that is in demand most start of making around $45,000 - $50,000 per year and will make $65,000 after a few years of experience. Dental hygeine requires at least a 2 year associates degree and several licensure exams to practice in a particular state.

Question : How is dental hygiene and heart conditions related?
My mother has mitral valve stenosis and often is concerned that any work / medicine they have done with her teeh (root canal for example) may be harmful to her mitral valve heart condition. why is this? I also notice that many people on here who answer the heart disease questions have sources that are dental related (they are dental hygienists, dentists)
Answer:
It is very easy to get a cut in your mouth while at the dentist( sharp metal tools) that could lead to a possible infection, from what I understand anyone with heart problems has to be very careful about this. I had to take antibiotics before every dental appointment for thirty five years( the just discontinued that for me). They can't be too careful with heart valves

Question : How to pay for DENTAL HYGIENE SCHOOL with bad credit?
I got accepted in Dental Hygiene Program...but now financing the school seems hard for me...i looked into FAFSA..i think the maximum grant $2000 per semester..and maximum Stafford Loans loan would be $5500 per year ..that means 2750 per semester..that gives me 2750+2000=$4750....But my total cost of tuition and expenses(book expenses + living) would be around $8000 per semester..Is there any other loans i can apply to if i have bad credit to cover my expenses?
Answer:
how about work while you are in school to help w/ living expenses- just a thought.
