Customer Review :

Do you really need this?

I don't really feel that it is particularly useful for braces. Maybe it does, but I just don't feel I really need this in retrospect. I think the regular ones will do just fine

Questions & Answers
Question : How should I approach a dentist to barter my marketing skills in exchange for dental care?
I don't have dental coverage, my business is marketing and my smile is a mess.

Answer:
In order to barter the value of your services should be equal or close to the dentist. So first look for a dentist offering free exams and x-rays, cleanings for new patients this is approx value of $200 savings and a great way for you to introduce yourself and become familiar with your new dentist and customer. Now back to the marketing part obvisously if you have the coupon for free services he is marketing but your referrals may still matter for discount for each referral and if your create an affordable avenue to mail out or distribute the coupons, cards etc. for a set discount amount. In addition you let him know you are paying privately (cash) and plan your treatment according to your budget and your marketing services discount. For more savings on your bill you can obtain low cost dental care by enrolling in a discount dental plan for about $100.00 for the entire year! Discount dental plans provide 10-60% off routine dental care and expensive dental procedures plus select plans offer FREE exams, x-rays etc. Now you have saved hundreds off your dental bill by combining the discount dental plan, marketing and coupon either way you will receive a treatment plan with costs and you will know how much to barter and it's worth to both of you. Look below for a few more tips on how to cut dental costs

Question : What is the optimal dental care regimen?
Example: *Visit dentist twice a year. * Floss after all meals and snacks with power flosser. * No sugar in diet other than what is in fruit. * Brush after all meals and snacks with a power toothbrush such as Sonicare. * Irrigate mouth with WaterPik or similar device. * Clean tongue. Probably no one is this perfect. But what is your idea of perfect dental home care? P.S. To dentists and hygienists: Here's your chance to tell us what the perfect dental patient would do.

Question : Where can i find low cost dental care?
Right now I cannot afford dental care & need it desperately. How do I find someone to help me? There's got to be somebody out there that will help people who need it badly. Any suggestions?? Barbie, I'm from West Tennessee.

Answer:
Schools of dentistry at major universities usually have clinics, although the waiting lists can be terribly long as people need dental work and it is so expensive. If I were you I would go ahead and make an appointment with a dentist you have heard good things about in your area, and go for a consultation...(consultation should be free.) Explain the situation to the dentist...that you want to get your teeth fixed, low on money, want to work out a plan of action....and so on...and the dentist can give you a plan for your mouth that has prices on it. You save up the money for each part and then go have that part done. In the meanwhile, really look for some dental insurance, which is usually pretty cheap, like under 15 dollars a month, and even though there may be a waiting period before you can use it, it will help in the long run. The dentist at your consultation can give you some ideas of what plans you can look into for that. I feel for you, and good luck in this endeavor...Best of luck-- Jennifer

Question : How can you get dental care without insurance and with limited funds?
Need immediate oral surgery, however all oral surgeons seem to want to be paid up front, and I do not have the resources.

Answer:
Check in your area to see if there is a dental school in a university in your area. Temple University offers discounted dental care and the rate is based on what the student dentist charges. Check out your area it may be worth it.

Question : Dental care?
I am 60 and take care of my grandsons, so I have little money to use towards dental care. I need a root canal and crown badly on a tooth that shows when I smile. It looks black because I broke part of it off. Do not tell me to get dental insurance as they do not work for 1 yr. Is there a place someone like me can go to get cheaper dental work?

Answer:
One option available to you is to go to a dental school. They will perform the procedure on you at little cost to you due to them needing you as a patient to test/qualify a particular student (DDS). No idea where you live. So you're going to have to find a dental school on your own. Most large universities have dental schools.

Question : How can I work with medical assistance to assure good quality dental care for me and my family?
Every dentist that I've talked to told me "No we can not serve you because we do not accept medical assistance."

Answer:
You really should go with a discount dental plan. I have a AMeriplan and the saving are great. It's not insurance so there are no restrictions or limitations. The phone # is 1-800-784-1719 website http://everyonebenefits.com/tlawrence... The cost is only $19.95 per month for a family plan.

Question : Is there any homeopathic or other alternative dental care available?
I read a story about healers in the Philippines who tap on the root of a bad tooth before extracting it by hand without need of novocain. I am so fed up with fluoride and western dental care but can't seem to find anything else.

Answer:
Not really. Just don't use flouride in your toothpaste. Tom's of Maine, peppermint is excellent. As long as you use Brita, or some filter like it, you should be fine. Any flouride you get from bits of dental care else where won't do you any harm.

Question : Do we get free dental care when hillry wins ?
I like the free health care but I can afford only so much dental care and had to pay for some dental today . Do we get the free dentist if hillry win or just the free medical ?

Answer:
Can Hillary get a new bridge and night guard for me? Mine are wearing down.

Question : How would you get free dental care through your state?
I am in dire need of a dentist and I really can not afford one. I live with my boyfriend and do not work. I watch our daughter and his older daughter from another relationship. I know if him and I were married it would be done and over with but that is not an option right now. Please let me know if there is anyway for this to happen.

Answer:
Here, where I am, certain health centers offer dental services. You can't be on insurance of any sort, including medicare/medicaid. But they offer the services for free. For those who are on Medicare/Medicaid, there are dental offices that accept that type of insurance. There are also community services offered. I recently learned that there is a church in my area that offers free services such as dental, a pharmacy, eye exams, etc all in the church there. It's something they offer once a month, I think, and they only accept 20 people each time. Not all of these services may be available in your area, but services like that aren't advertised much, you have to do your research. Good luck!
