The Smartimer function takes the guesswork out of how long to brush by automatically shutting off the brush after two minutes. The 4100 includes one standard-size brush head, a charger base, and a handle that holds its charge for up to two weeks, making it ideal for travel. A two-year warranty covers the handle and charger against defects. The Sonicare Elite's bristle tips move three times faster than all other leading power toothbrushes to create dynamic cleaning action. Editorial Review :

No two mouths are exactly the same, so your power toothbrush shouldn't treat them that way. The new Sonicare 9000 series has two brush head sizes and two different speed so that you can tailor your brushing to your own unique needs. The Max speed is perfect for thorough everyday clean delivering optimal plaque removal while being safe and gentle on gums. The Gentle speed is perfect for sensitive spots that still need attention. HOW IT WORKS The standard brush head is used with the Max speed lets you achieve a great overall clean, and with the Gentle speed, you can focus the brushing action on gums to stimulate and massage them. Attach the compact brush head and use the Gentle speed for sensitive spots. Use the smaller brush head and Max speed and you can get those hard-to-reach areas.

Customer Review :

Works great, charges fast

I've used this for a year now. The batteries have lasted well and it works great.

On the down side, it is very expensive and the replacement brushes are expensive as well.

Question : Is it difficult to be accepted into a dental hygiene program at a community college?
I am planning to enroll in a dental assisting program in January. It is a 15 week program after which i will become certified. After i am certified and working as a dental assistant, how difficult is is to get accepted to a dental hygienist program at a community college? Any info you can give me about this field would be very helpful! Thank you so much.

Answer:
Dental hygiene programs are very selective in their admissions. You will need to have excellent grades in your college courses. Don't despair. I've had two da's go on to hygiene school. They took college courses at night at the local community college. Good luck in your career!

Question : Is the Utah College of Dental Hygiene worth it?
I want to go to Dental Hygiene School but I dont want to leave the State really. weber state and Utah valleys Dental hygiene programs are both supposed to be really difficult to get in to. UCDH lets in more students then either of those but is also more expensive. In the end on a Dental Hygiene Salary I will be able to pay it off but I just dont know if its worth it.

Answer:
Yes it is worth it

Question : can i become a dentist after doing dental hygiene?
I have done Diploma in Dental Hygiene, can I study further to become a dentist in Canada? I want to know my options.

Answer:
Yes but you need to train to become a qualified dentist.

Question : What are some good Houston based institutions to get dental hygiene licensed without attending a university?
I want to recieve my dental hygiene license from an institution that allows me to do this a little faster than attending a college, are there any like this in houston besides montgomery county community college, they want me to take all of these biology pre-reqs, that will just waste my time.

Answer:
Universities do not offer dental hygiene programs. Check out community colleges, but be wary of trade schools. Before signing on with a trade school, ask to see records of how many of their graduates pass the state boards AND how many find jobs withing 90 days. Most dental schools operate a program for dental hygienists. Talk to you hygienist and ask where they went to school.

Question : Why's it less universities that offer Dental Hygiene majors, yet they ALL have nursing?
Only 4 colleges in TN have dental hygiene. It really limits your options. but in order to be a hygienist you HAVE to go to a university.no other kind of school offers the program.and besides they like for you to have had at least a year of college before you start dental hygiene anyway.

Answer:
There are more dental hygiene programs than there are schools for dentists. They say there is a demand for dental hygienists but if the number of dental offices is limited than the demand for dental hygienists goes down. I am a dental hygienist and there are no jobs. Look in the help wanted section of the newspaper. Where I live it has been over 2 years that an office has posted in the paper with a dental hygiene opening. I recently opened a dental temp service. Every single new dental hygiene graduate in my area has contacted me because they can't find jobs.

Question : Wich site is good to get good pictures of dental hygiene when smoking ?
Im doing a project on dental hygiene when you smoke but i can't find any picture of teeth that are in terrible shape.

Answer:
There is a good page on dental health tips for those who smoke. http://www.dentalgentlecare.com/smoking_and_dental_health.htm

Question : Dental Hygiene program- what grades do you/did you have to get in your science prerequisites to get in?
Hopefully someone can answer me... I am trying to apply for the dental hygiene program in various schools in california, and I still have Anatomy (taking it right now), Physiology and Microbiology left. What grades (gpa) did you get on just your science prerequisites to get into the program? I really want this more than anything, but I feel like my grades might not be good enough, since the program is very selective. Any good schools you may recommend to apply to? Bottom line is, do you have to have straight A's to get in? Thank you so much.

Answer:
I went to school in Tucson, AZ where they have the "first come, first serve" system. Meaning, you are going to get in for sure if you get at least a C in your prereq classes, but you have to wait for your turn. The wait is about 1-2 years, which is not bad. The school was pretty good, they get you ready for all the exams. In our class everyone passed the clinical, and only one person failed the National Board (but this person was a HUGE slacker, he only started studying ONE(!!) week before the exam.) Good luck.

Question : Where can someone not in college take classes aobout dental hygiene?
Where can someone who is not in college take classes or learn about dental hygiene?

Answer:
the following site has a list that offers dental hygiene classes online...you didnt mention the state or country u r in http://www.adha.org/downloads/distance_entry.pdf good luck
