Customer Review :
Best brushing experience I've had!
I've used Sonicare for over 9 years beginning with the original style and finishing with the Elite models. Those did better than a manual brush, but don't compare with the wonderful results I'm getting with the Oral-B Triumph.
I started taking a medication this year that leaves my mouth dry and prone to plaque build-up. I knew it was getting bad when my wife and mom pointed out that my teeth looked yellow and breath was noticable for the first time in my life. I'm quite meticulous about having clean teeth so this really bothered me. The Sonicare Elite toothbrush I was using just wasn't able to keep my teeth from building up plaque, particularly along the gum-line and between the teeth. I got a little better results by alternating between a manual toothbrush and the Sonicare while using Plax before brushing and flossing.
Wow, I've only used the Oral-B for about a week and the results are dramatic. I can really feel the floss action head working around and between the tooth as I gently rock it back and forth over each tooth. It does a wonderful job along the gum line as well. Plus, I'm still using the same products: Colgate Total Advanced Whitening toothpaste, Plax pre-brushing rinse, Reach Gumcare dental floss and Reach Act Restoring floride rinse.
My teeth look and feel much cleaner than before and I'm not at all self-conscious about my teeth and breath.
Only get the Oral-B Triumph if you want whiter teeth, healthier gums, and an excellent plaque fighter! You'll love this toothbrush whether your switching from a manual or other electric.

| Editorial Review :
The 60-second Time Machine is the first toothbrush created just for kids. Here's a dental product that kids actually like to use that helps them clean their teeth better. In fact, much better than they do on their own, even if you could get them to brush for twice as long. That's because the 60-second Time Machine's patented brush heads are positioned for optimal cleansing, at the angle recommended by dentists and hygienists. The brush heads surround teeth, gently massaging and removing plaque from 6 tooth surfaces at once -- automatically. And kids love using it! They don't want to stop! When they push the "on" button, the inside lights up and the colorful gears rotate for 60 seconds...exactly enough time to clean their entire mouth.

Question : What is the optimal dental care regimen?
Example:
*Visit dentist twice a year.
* Floss after all meals and snacks with power flosser.
* No sugar in diet other than what is in fruit.
* Brush after all meals and snacks with a power toothbrush such as Sonicare.
* Irrigate mouth with WaterPik or similar device.
* Clean tongue.
Probably no one is this perfect. But what is your idea of perfect dental home care?
P.S. To dentists and hygienists: Here's your chance to tell us what the perfect dental patient would do.

Question : Dental care?
I am 60 and take care of my grandsons, so I have little money to use towards dental care. I need a root canal and crown badly on a tooth that shows when I smile. It looks black because I broke part of it off. Do not tell me to get dental insurance as they do not work for 1 yr. Is there a place someone like me can go to get cheaper dental work?
Answer:
One option available to you is to go to a dental school. They will perform the procedure on you at little cost to you due to them needing you as a patient to test/qualify a particular student (DDS).
No idea where you live. So you're going to have to find a dental school on your own. Most large universities have dental schools.

Question : Is dental care considered to be a luxury good?
is the quantity of dental care demanded very responsive to a change in price?
Answer:
Funny, but here in Canada I guess it is. Dental is not part of the state run health system. Neither is optometry, come to think of it, so I guess they are both "luxuries" from a political stand point.

Question : where can i get free or cheap dental care in New Jersey?
I already checked with my school...they do not cover dental with student health plan.
I am in the northern new jersey/nyc area.
Answer:
Good luck! I live in Ohio and I don't think cheap dental care exists, the costs are out of this world! I need major work done, but it's like taking out a second loan! Here in Ohio, in Columbus OSU dental college. It's student but performing procedures with real dental surgeons by theyr'e side. Cheapest place around but it's first come, first serve, have to be there very early and for me it's to much of a drive. Maybe you could look into some kind of state dental college denistry like they have here though. Much cheaper. Good luck and Merry Christmas.

Question : How would you get free dental care through your state?
I am in dire need of a dentist and I really can not afford one. I live with my boyfriend and do not work. I watch our daughter and his older daughter from another relationship. I know if him and I were married it would be done and over with but that is not an option right now. Please let me know if there is anyway for this to happen.
Answer:
Here, where I am, certain health centers offer dental services. You can't be on insurance of any sort, including medicare/medicaid. But they offer the services for free.
For those who are on Medicare/Medicaid, there are dental offices that accept that type of insurance.
There are also community services offered. I recently learned that there is a church in my area that offers free services such as dental, a pharmacy, eye exams, etc all in the church there. It's something they offer once a month, I think, and they only accept 20 people each time.
Not all of these services may be available in your area, but services like that aren't advertised much, you have to do your research.
Good luck!
