Charge It!

In the comments above or below that state the battery dies after a while, you must realize that all rechargeable batteries (NiCd, NiMH, Li-ion, etc) last for approximately 1000 charge/discharge cycles. If you brush your teeth only once per day, you should expect the batteries to die in about 3 to 4 years. If you brush twice a day, the batteries will die sooner. That is the physical nature of rechargeable batteries.

The Best Tooth Brush

With little effort this tooth brush will clean your teeth
squeaky clean. Your tongue will feel the difference. I have been using this tooth brush for years and everytime
I visit the dentist for my semi-annual cleaning, the dental
assistant has very little to do in cleaning my teeth.

Product works great!

The toothbrush work great! It works just as good if not better than the original I received as a Christmas gift from my parents about ten years ago.

Great as ever.

I recently purchased this as a replacement for my orignal Sonicare brush which I've had for over ten years. The unit stopped working and I chose the same Sonicare Advance model as the the original one I had. The the new unit is made and works just as well as the old one. Also, much to my suprise the old one started working again so now I have a spare. I definitely love my Sonicare toothbrush and wouldn't be without one.

Battery Life of the Sonicare Advance Models

I want to respond to the fellow who said his brush is an expensive throwaway. I bought mine in 3/2000 and it JUST died on me -- that's six years of longevity. I had left it unplugged for several days, not realizing that the battery could be dying or dead. Right now I'm frantically searching for the exact same brush, and I'm having trouble because all I know of the model number is, it's an Advance series PS1. Well, my point is that I think the brushes are excellent, I think it's a quality product and I'm sorry he had such a bad experience.

Editorial Review :

Everyone knows that they should take care of their teeth, after all, you just have one set to last you a lifetime. However, we often assume they'll last a lifetime without any help. This could lead to gum disease, cavities and inevitably - dentures. The Cybersonic Toothbrush is a state of the art, precision toothbrush that will keep you showing off your pearly whites for years to come. The Cybersonic Tooth Brush works on the same principle as a tuning fork. Like a tuning fork, the Cybersonic Toothbrush cleaning attachments have no mechanical moving parts like gears, drive shafts or levers. When the attachments are "tuned" they resonate from side to side. This happens when they are exposed to sonic vibration energy like when it comes in contact with your teeth. This creates small, high speed cleaning strokes at the rate of 41,000 strokes per minute - 20 times the amount that other electric toothbrushes generate! Now you'll be "Done-In-One"... minute with cybersonic electric toothbrush.

Customer Review :

just great

I bought it several years ago, it's still working very nicely, and my teeth feel better than anything else I tried. The flosser is a bit difficult at the start but does work good too. My dentist doesn't have any complaints either!!!

Was excellent until they "improved" it

I and my family loved this product. Over the years I have bought seven of them and given some as gifts. Now they have "improved" the replacement brushes. The original brush they called "Cyberspring" (part number C239). They said it was patented and all that. It had a little spring at the base of each set of bristles. The new brushes (including Cybersonic 3)no longer have these springs and they last about 1/4 as long as the original brush and turn all fuzzy right away. I doubt that I will buy anymore Cybersonic products. Too bad, the shortsighted bean counters screwed up another good product.

Number One

This is a great toothbrush and very reasonable priced.Your teeth and gums feel very clean after each use,I cant use another one after I tried this one, I bought several for gifts last year and a extra one for me everybody was happy with them. I have not opened the extra one yet, the other one is still going strong. The only drawback is if I dont remember to order the extra brushes online they dont sell them in the stores

amazing instrument!!!

this item is a godsend.. it makes brushing teeth a simple joy, which I find I am doing on a much more regular basis due to the ease..

Cybersonic 2 Toothbrush

Third one we have bought. The first one is still working after about 3 years. The other one lasted a couple. Works great. Will keep buying them if they keep lasting.

Questions & Answers
Question : Where can I get free to low cost dental care?
I am disable and cannot qualify for medical but I need dental work really bad. What can I go to get help?

Answer:
Try this website: http://www.dentalplans.com/ Depending on what state you live in (just enter your zip code), they offer some dental plans as low as $79.95 a year! You can even compare plans to see which one would be better depending on what work you think you might need. Good luck to you.

Question : im 15 and i live in florii da.i live with a negelctive parent and i need dental care imediately. please help.
i have an extra tooth growing in the back of my mouth that hurts very badly and sometimes interferes with eating. i need to get instructions on how to contact florida kid care, also, i need instructions on how i find out what forida kid care plan will include dental. i desperately need a tooth removed and to have braces. please, someone help me.

Answer:
Go to the nurse or guidance counselor at school... your 'complaint' will be on your record, and will be followed up by your area's CPS (Child Protective Services) if not resolved in a timely manner. Since you're a minor, you won't be able to get in to see someone on your own~ you need help with that. I'm not familiar with Florida Kid Care, but I'm sure you'll need a consenting adult to get you in... No one should suffer like this..... Good luck to you!

Question : Are there any grants available to indigent people for dental care?
I live in Alabama and my husband has just been diagnosed with heart failure. He has weak and missing teeth and that makes it difficult for him to eat the vegetables and fruits that he should include in his diet. Due to his medical condition he is unable to take ibuprofen for the pain that his teeth cause. If anyone could tell us how he can get the dental care that he is in dire need of we would greatly appreciate it.Or if you can suggest a method of pain relief that would not be harmful to a man with congestive heart failure , that would be helpful. Thank You. He has signed up for medicaid but it could be up to six months before he gets a decision on whether or not he gets it.

Answer:
Most dental schools will do some indigent care in turn for letting their students practice on these patients. However, your husband's CHF is a factor for any type of anesthesia. He should be able to take acetaminophen (tylenol) for pain relief, as that doesn't thin the blood like high levels of ibuprofen does. I would suggest that you speak with his cardiologist about appropriate pain control. And since he is indigent, he would probably qualify for the state's medicaid/medicare plan which would have somekind of coverage for treatment of his CHF. If he has periodental disease from poor oral healthcare, then that would likely be covered too.

Question : How do I get free dental care in Florida?
I have a tooth with a missing filling. The nerve is exposed and it is sending sharp throbbing pain to my bottom right row of teeth anytime I breathe or move my mouth the wrong way. I have been using temporary filler and Ambesol but even that seems to not be working well anymore. I just need it to be dealt with by a professional at this point but we are sooo broke and don't even have health insurance. HELP!! Pls

Answer:
Try going to a Dental College in your area. They usually accept patients "to practice" supervised by their instructors.

Question : How would you get free dental care through your state?
I am in dire need of a dentist and I really can not afford one. I live with my boyfriend and do not work. I watch our daughter and his older daughter from another relationship. I know if him and I were married it would be done and over with but that is not an option right now. Please let me know if there is anyway for this to happen.

Answer:
Here, where I am, certain health centers offer dental services. You can't be on insurance of any sort, including medicare/medicaid. But they offer the services for free. For those who are on Medicare/Medicaid, there are dental offices that accept that type of insurance. There are also community services offered. I recently learned that there is a church in my area that offers free services such as dental, a pharmacy, eye exams, etc all in the church there. It's something they offer once a month, I think, and they only accept 20 people each time. Not all of these services may be available in your area, but services like that aren't advertised much, you have to do your research. Good luck!

I have looked everywhere for cheap to no cost dental work. I am disabled and only live on $452/ mo. My teeth are in bad shape from having three children back to back. Its so bad sometimes when I try to eat food, pieces of my teeth break off. Please help me.

Answer:
1800 dentist, explain your complete situation to them check in with social services, and see what they have lastly, if those 2 dont work, then i would go from one dentist to another pleading for them to do pro bono work. you will get one that will help

Question : Is dental care considered to be a luxury good?
is the quantity of dental care demanded very responsive to a change in price?

Answer:
Funny, but here in Canada I guess it is. Dental is not part of the state run health system. Neither is optometry, come to think of it, so I guess they are both "luxuries" from a political stand point.

Question : What is the best way to help a third world country with dental care?
This is for a project that i have to do to graduate, i'm going to Nicaragua to help people as a dental assistant and have to write a paper about it. please help me!

Preventive dentistry. It costs less and and we can get more with prevention. Some suggestions: Objective1: Educate them (especially the little ones) about proper oral hygiene. Activities: . Give them the toothbrush and show them how to use it. . Give them the floss and show them how to use it. . Give them the fluoride toothpaste. . Have them chew on disclosing table and show them the dental plaque Objective 2. Educate them about eating habit (for example, avoid frequent sugar intake) Activities: . Tell them about healthy vegetable diet for adults . Tell them about the benefit of milk for their child's teeth . Tell them about how sugar can cause cavities . Tell them about bottle tooth decay Objective 3. Educate them about the smoking problems Activities: . Advise them about how smoking causes lung cancer . Advise them about how smoking causes heart attack . Advise them about how smoking causes bad breath . Advise them about how smoking cause gum disease . Advise them about the danger of second-hand smoking . Advise them about how to get Help for quitting I hope the above will help you. Have a good trip and good luck in Nicaragua.

Question : Where can a person get free or very low dental care in Alabama?
Why is there lack of services offered to alabamaians when it comes to health? where in alabama can a person go for donated dental services, an other health related services for the poor?

Answer:
You could go to a dental school where they practice on patients with an overseeing dentist for low cost, but each session is like 3 hours long! ( I tried it a few times!) Or you can get a discount medical card (like I did!) The company is AmeriPlan USA and they have 4 different plans for people who can't afford normal insurance coverage. It covers all on-going medical and dental problems, with no physicals or paperwork to fill out. If this is something you are considering, I can tell you how it personally works for me.. and you can contact some of the dentists and doctors in your area to see the savings you could recieve with Ameriplan. At the website you can click on the contact section.. and it gives my phone #. I'm central time, so I only ask that you don't call after 9. p.m. Thank you!
