Questions & Answers
Question : Who invented the electric toothbrush and when?
I'm doing a project on who invented the electric toothbrush and when. Could you please help me????

Answer:
Dr. George A. Scott

Question : How do you get the Toothbrush Off the Sonicare to change it ?
I unscrewed the toothbrush but the brush is not attached anywhere that I could see. Do tou pull it out of the top . The motor is in the screwed partand then nothing is in the bottom part which leaves the brush on top and it wont come out.

Answer:
Haha, I think you're doing what I used to do all the time. What you unscrewed is supposed to be attached the the brush head. I always unscrewed it and the brush would sometimes get left behind in the body. If you can, try and just twist the brush off. I hope that helps somewhat. If not, I apologize.

Question : What happens if you use a denture brush as a normal toothbrush?
oh no, I think I made a mistake. I used a denture brush (it was called plaq killer or something) as a regular brush. The bristles were allot more stiff then a regular toothbrush and I think I might of scraped off all the tooth enamel without realizing it. It worked good for brushing my tongue but I might of made a big mistake using it on my teeth. What do you think? Any dentists?

Answer:
You got really clean teeth. Seriously, don't worry about it. The danger is to your gums as most denture brushes are too rough on the gum tissue.

Question : How does this toothbrush recharge if it has no metal contacts between the base and brush?
I have Crest® SpinBrush® - SpinBrush Pro Recharge toothbrush. My question is how does it recharge if there is no metal contact between the base and toothbrush?.Plastic is between the base and toothbursh.

Answer:
It's accomplished by a small but concentrated electro-magnetic field which isn't affected by the plastic cover.

Question : How can a toothbrush be an energy vampire?
I've heard from the Nickelodeon advertisement that game chargers, electric appliances and even a toothbrush are energy vampires. What I mean is that how can a toothbrush be an energy vampire when you control it manually?

Answer:
Perhaps they do mean electric toothbrushes. People (me included) leave them plugged in all day and they don't require that much energy. Or, manual toothbrushes consume energy because they are made of plastic, and many of these cannot be recycled, or are not made of recycled plastic, and will end up in a landfill for a thousand years.

Question : What is a toothbrush for in rock climbing?
When u buy a chalk bag, they sometimes come with a toothbrush. Why do u need a toothbrush? To clean the bag? Help!

Answer:
to clean the chalk off the rocks, sometimes there might be too much on the rocks before you start climbing from a previous climber.

Question : How often do you replace your toothbrush?
Usually every 5 months i replace mine. That is when the dentist told me to start replacing my toothbrush. What about you?

Answer:
Around every 3 months is what we recommend in our office and what I do as well. Make sure you use a soft bristle brush. You never want to use a hard or medium bristle. These are harmful to your teeth and we wish that they were not even available unless you needed them to clean something around your house!

Question : How to clean a toothbrush holder?
Just want sum tips on cleaning a toothbrush holder, its one of those with holes in for the toohbrushes and you cant get inside of it as it doesnt have a lid. I usually just fill it with hot water and all purpose cleaner, leave for a while and then rinse out, but if you look inside closely I can still see dirt at the bottom of the holder which i cant get into. Any tips?

Answer:
put a few grains of rice and a little vinegar in it then swirl around for a bit. it's great for vases too!

Question : How do you keep your toothbrush clean?
Where should i keep my toothbrush where it's not going to get infested with germs! They say keeping it on the counter or in a holder is a bad idea, so where should I keep it?

Answer:
It is best to put it in the open where it can dry and in light, not a dark drawer. The best thing is to be sure to change it at least every 3 months or sooner if you are sick or it is beginning to show wear. After brushing, rinse your toothbrush well and pour some mouthwash over it. Then just let it dry. This will kill anything left on it. You can also run it through the dishwasher once a week if you are worried. No matter where you put it, it will get germs. The best is to keep it clean.

Question : Can you ruin the battery by soaking your electric toothbrush in bleach?
I soaked by electric toothbrush in straight bleach not to long ago and it was fine for awhile, but now doesn't seem to want to charge. Could the bleach have ruined the battery?

Answer:
SOAKING ANYTHING ELECTRONIC IN ANY LIQUID, ESPECIALLY BLEACH WILL RUIN IT. TIME TO BUY ANOTHER AND FOLLOW THE MAKERS INSTRUCTIONS.
