Customer Review :
Great power toothbrush for the price!
Ok, so this is NOT a medal winner, but hey it does the job! I had a Sonicare for several years, then it died and I bought this one to "get me by" until I bought another Sonicare. But I don't think I'm going to give this little guy up now. My teeth feel just as clean as when I used the Sonicare. The final decision will be when I see my dental hygienst.

They keep breaking on me!
I have gone thru 4 of these and none has lasted more than a week. Don't bother.

Quality item
I bought this for my Granddaughter for Christmas because she loves Curious George. With shipping charges, this item came to nearly $8. I can't beleive I spent that much for a toothbrush, but I'll do just about anything for my grandkids.

Question : Is there a thing as free dental care?
I need to go see a dentist bad, with no health insurance, little money, is there a thing as free dental care?
I live in california
Answer:
find a local university or community college that has a dental program. they offer cleanings and some minor repairs. problem is it will take longer, and they are still learning so screw-ups are possible.
I would also suggest calling all dentists in your area. some of them will allow you to make monthly payments. I had to get 2 pulled a while back- no insurance, i make too much money for gov't assistance, but a $300 dental bill would have killed me and my kids. I found a really great dentist who let me pay him $10/month. It was really quite amazing.
I also remember, from back when i was little that my church had a free dental day, where a couple of the dentists who attended would get together to help members in need. You may try that route as well.
good luck to you.

Question : Dental care?
I am 60 and take care of my grandsons, so I have little money to use towards dental care. I need a root canal and crown badly on a tooth that shows when I smile. It looks black because I broke part of it off. Do not tell me to get dental insurance as they do not work for 1 yr. Is there a place someone like me can go to get cheaper dental work?
Answer:
One option available to you is to go to a dental school. They will perform the procedure on you at little cost to you due to them needing you as a patient to test/qualify a particular student (DDS).
No idea where you live. So you're going to have to find a dental school on your own. Most large universities have dental schools.

Question : Where can I find the best dental care?
I'm a foreigner living here and I need your advice
I have a medical insurance in the following hospitals in
Malaysia and I want to know which one has'got the best dental care and the best dentists as well
1-Ampang Puteri Specialist Hospital
2-Damansara Specialist Hospital
3-Selangor Medical Center
4-KPJ Kajang Specialist Hospital
5-Tawakal Hospital
6-Sentosa Medical Center
and another question
Are there Syrian or Lebanese Dentists?
Answer:
I don't live in the area so unfortunately I can't be of help.
But I do feel complied to tell you that not all Malaysians are like Living a Life, who doesn't even know that Lebanon and Syria are parts of Asia. *roll eyes* Whatever he just said, well seems like he is describing himself. Dont mind him.
As a foreigner living on others' land, I understand how you may prefer to obtain services from people who have the same background as yourself. I do that a lot too :) But on the other hand, there is no harm of giving the local dentists a try. Some of them are trained overseas and do a terrific job :)

Question : Did you have proper dental care as a child?
If you're a teenager, do your parents make sure you have proper dental care?
Answer:
I'm 55 and I didn't. I don't remember even being told to brush my teeth. Whenever I had a cavity my parents told me to get it pulled instead of filled because when I got older I would have dentures anyway. I got my first pair of dentures when I was 17. I hate my parents till today for doing that to me.

Question : What can I do to get dental care without dental insurance?
Hi everyone, I'm a 2x veteran that seperated from the Army, recently I have trouble finding a dentist that will provide dental care under a Vet Affairs dental reimbursement program. Because I have one missing tooth (pre-existing cond.), the costs for the dental implant exceeded the VA fee schedule, therefore will not reimburse the dentist. VA has been ignoring my case for almost a year now. If I go for priv dent. ins. I will not be covered for a teeth implant. Now I'm thinking of going to Mexico for dental care. Are there any other options?
Answer:
Unfortunately veterans get stuck behnd the 8 ball on this one, and I am so sorry for that. The fees that the VA allows are so low that most dentists can't work with that fee schedule without losing their shirt. The whole VA Dental program s a joke. We have tried in the past to work with some of the vets in our area and the hospitals put you guys on hold forever. Not a very nice way to say thanks for your service. You should speak with your local government representative to see what can be done in your area. Best of luck and well wishes

Question : Why doesn't Canada use surplus to start a national dental care plan?
Canada had a huge surplus in money this year, why doesn't it start a new dental care plan so that everyone can have dental coverage without having to pay ass loads of money themselves or to insurance companies?
It's stupid because so many sicknesses and diseases are linked to dental hygiene and maintenance, why wouldn't they implement dental care as a preventative sickness measure to help us Canadians maintain good health?
This outrages me so much.
Answer:
I guess it depends on what their other priorities are...

Question : Where can I get free dental care in the Metro Detroit area?
I need extreme dental work, probably dentures, and I don't have dental insurance. My teeth hurt and I can't eat anything without alot of pain.
Answer:
Contact your local or state dental association and and see if there are any dentists who provide free or reduced cost care for low-income, disabled or senior patients.
Call your local health department and ask about health centers that provide dental care for free or on a sliding scale.
Your local United Way may also be aware of such a clinic. In some areas, you can reach them now by dialing 2-1-1 for "non-emergency information."
Go to a dental school, if there is one near you, for reduced costs.
Check http://www.toothwoman.net to see if low-cost or free dental services are available near you.
Check http://bphc.hrsa.gov and choose "Find a Health Center" to see if there is a low-cost clinic near you.
Check http://www.nfdh.org/DDS.html to see if your state has a "Donated Dental Services" program. D.D.S. is designed to locate dentists who will give free care to patients who are financially compromised due to medical problems. This is a process that will take a couple of months to get your information and then arrange for someone to see you. Not all states have D.D.S. programs.
