Nothing is easier or more successful

My recent dental exam was the best I've ever had! Despite diligent brushing and flossing, I'd always had problems with deep pockets around some of my teeth. Not this time! After only 1 month of using my QuickBreeze - morning and night - not a single pocket was greater than 2mm. Both my dentist and his hygenist were extremely impressed.
This is an excellent product!
It was very easy to install and comes off easily for cleaning the sink and faucet. Unless you have a sink to devote to this, however, I would recommend getting the model that makes it simple to switch between the irrigator and tap water with a lever.

Outstanding product.

More effective and less irritating than flossing. Leaves your mouth feeling clean and fresh. I wonder how I survived without it.

Great product

The Quickpik-Dental Oral Irrigator is the best I have used. I have had two other types of dental irrigators, a plug in version and a rechargable version. Both did the job but both broke down. This Quickpik is my favorite. It is quiet. It takes hardly any room to store. It does a wonderful job. I would highly suggest getting this over any other type.

This is a much better alternative to the well-known water pik

I've never owned a water pik, but I am glad I chose this one by QuickBreeze instead of the one that uses a tank. The hose connects to the faucet and you just have to turn the faucet on to get the spray. It's really easy to spray along the gums, and I can feel the water spray between my teeth. I'm no dental expert, but this thing certainly is helping me out.

The only downside is that I was expecting a suction cup holder for the hose. Instead I got something with a sticky back. The back looks like one of those that is permanent, and I cannot place that on the wall because I currently rent. Still, it's pretty easy to detach the hose when I'm done and set it on a dry towel.

Editorial Review :

The HYDRO FLOSS® oral irrigator is the highest quality, most effective home treatment device of its kind. It compliments and completes anyones home dental care. Optimizing by flushing disrupted plaque that brushing and flossing leave behind. Completing the care by providing a cleansing for sub-gingival and Those hard-to-reach areas. Twice as effective as other oral irrigators through the innovation of HydroMagnetics. The difference is, the HYDRO FLOSS® has the ability to inhibit the bacteria from adhering to the surface of the teeth. Clinical studies show that the HYDRO FLOSS® oral irrigator is 44% more effective than non-magnetic oral irrigators, (Journal of Clinical Periodontology, Vol. 20, No. 5, May 1993, pages 314-317), and up to 64% more effective than non-magnetic oral irrigators, (Journal of Clinical Periodontology, Vol. 25, No. 4, April 1998, pages 316-321).

Save your gums and pucker up

I've owned three Hydrofloss irrigators since 2002 and have found them all to be outstanding devices which, used 1-2 times per week, have kept my gums healthy and have stopped the recession of two troubled gum areas in my mouth. (The enclosed product CD they send with the units will explain exactly how it works and why this happens.)

I've had three because, per my instructions from my dentist, I've always used them with a solution of 80% warm tap water and 20% hydrogen peroxide. Unfortunately, the peroxide prematurly wears out the motor so that after 200 or so uses, it wears out. I returned two of the units to the manufacturer for refurbishing, but found that the repaired units did not pump water with enough force to adequately clean my gums. I subsequently did not pay for the repairs ($25 + shipping per unit) after several complaining e-mails with the company's owner.

I can attest to the fact that faithful use of these units will also completely elminate bad breath, provided that your additional oral care (flossing, brushing, and use of Listerine) is adequate.

The Oral Breeze tip adapter set fits the ShowerBreeze, RediBreeze and QuickBreeze models. This is a low pressure device - it is not intended to produce a strong stream that would damage delicate tissue . It gently irrigates 5 mm + infected pockets. Great Portable Dental Irrigator

I was told by my dentist to purchase a water pik device for a better cleaning experience with greater plaque removal. I use this device in conjunction with my Sonicare Toothbrush (also recommended by my dentist and periodontist)and my dentist, peridontist, and orthodontist continutally remark on the health of my gums. After having gum surgery for periodontal disease this is a great relief.

You will have to replace the 2 AA batteries every two weeks, however, it's
definitely worth it to be able to take this anywhere at will. I highly recommend this product!

Portable and Powerful

The Panasonic Personal Care Portable Oral Irrigator EW1270AC is a portable Water Pik. It does the job very well and can be transported easily. I was amazed at how it cleaned and got into spaces I couldn't go with dental floss. I would highly recommend this product for those of you that need the extra care of the water pik with their dental floss.

Does what it says it will do

From some of the other reviews I read before purchasing the oral irrigator,I thought it would be more powerful than it is but it does do what it is advertised to do and is very convenient for travel. It is worth the money I spent.

Buy this Irrigator

The "other brand" the more famous one, disintegrated in my hand. This one is durable, handy, effective, and really portable. Uses common AA type batteries but one warning ---keep water out of the battery compartment and be sure the battery lid is on tight. The reservoir is just right. And I'll tell you just how good this is. Floss first; then use your Braun electric, THEN use this irrigator.. It will still clear out food particles between the teeth. Last time I went to the dentist, he looked in my mouth and commented how clean it is. My recommendation: Buy this one. Product and price - Great.

Rechargeable Water Jet

Customer Review :

LOve it, can't live without it!

I don't write about products, but I do rely on what people say about products and when I've seen allbad reviews for inerplak water jet I just could not belive it. I own this product for at least a year, this same one. It works great. In the begining it used to hold charge a bit longer. I could go for about a week on single charge now it is loosing a preasure on about 4th day, which I consider great for a year old 20$ oral jet.
Best 20$ I've ever spent! And belive me I am very keen about my teeth, I had my braces at 20yo - well I am from Poland and 12 years ago not everybody could aford it , and it was still prety new there. I am 32 now and I did not had my 8th teeth surgicaly removed, and they seatting rather deap in my gums. I usedd to be a nightmare for me , I would get infection once a month or more often. I've always had a strong pain reliever handy and I was possitive I will have to go for extraction. Then I decided to try oral jets,i wanted a portable one. First I got a panasonic , don't recall what model but it needed 2 batteries. Nightmare. To strong preasure at first than it was weakning very fast and the batteries where wunning out very fast. Never again. Than I had a portable waterpik - and the answer is NO! It was supposed to have a different preasures and different attachments , whatever. It sucked. Got rid of it and now my life got better with Interplak water jet. I did not have an infection since I am using it. I always brush my teeth first then use the jet. I use luke warm water not to irritate the gums. Every time I jet I can't belive my eyes what comes out my teeth after I brushed. Than I feel sory for people who did not discover irrigation. I am not planning to have another infection nor cavity anytime soon. If I go away and forget my charger I just simply go to store and spend another 20$ and get another interplak.
I guess oral hygine is a very personal experience andsometimes you have to try couple jets before you get your fav one. Mine is Interplak!

Great travel dental irrigator

I love this product. It packs down small for travel but opens up to be easy to use. Great price, too.

Lasted quite long through the elements (I forcefully retired it)

This lasted for quite sometime. I bought mine from Target, a little skeptical compared to the plug in bigger units and waterpik brands, but this really did the trick for the past year. I put mouthwash in it, took it into the shower. Charges occured overnight or through the day, usually setting it to charge when I noticed the "jet" feeling was kind of weak. This worked well for cleaning my most rear teeth, when my wisdom teeth were out and creating problems in brushing. I have some areas where food ALWAYS gets caught between them and using this would shoot those leftovers right out. The unit was still working good, but I decided I wanted to take it apart and use the motor to make a small squirt gun. Now I'm searching to see if I can find this model again in stores. It was cheap, effective and portable. Great find and experimenting.

What a piece of junk!

I was excited to purchase a travel size oral irrigator. Traditionally, I use the ones that have a tank to fill and they tend to be a bit bulky in size.

The maximum use I got out of the travel size Interplak was a couple of weeks! I purchased it with the intention of removing tonsil stones, but the water pressure was too low. As one customer mentioned, you are better off gargling!

I found this product very uncomfortable to handle especially if you have arthritis or weakness in your hand. The cord gets in the way. It was heavy and irrigating was a lot messier than using my previous irrigator. Constantly filling the tank with water was a dreadful experience and the small metal stick automatically springs up once you close the cap. This product should be discontinued!

Interplak water jet works well

This is the second Interplak water jet I've had. The first one lasted about 2 years until the batteries wouldn't hold a charge. Otherwise it works very well, and it's nice that the unit is portable, with no water tube or power cord connecting to a base unit.

Questions & Answers
Question : How do you clean a toothbrush?
Is their a way to clean a toothbrush with home ingredients. Thanks for the answers Thanks for the answers

Answer:
I use Milton's sterilising solution, used for sterilising baby milk bottles and teats. Just rinse before use. But you must replace your brush regularly. I asked my dentist he said that soaking in sterilising solution would be very effective and will not effect the brush.

Question : How many of you feel a vibration under your nose while brushing with an electric toothbrush?
I'm doing some research on this topic to see if anyone has or knows what I'm talking about, being twitching sensation you feel around your nose when brushing your teeth with a electric toothbrush, mind you I know what causes it, I'm only seeing if there are people out there that experience this, and if it's consider a minor or more then minor inconvenience to you or not. I'm interested to know, and this is purely for reseach.

Answer:
lol. I know what you are talking about. It doesn't happen all the time, but every once in awhile when I'm brushing my teeth and I have to end up rubbing my nose because it tickles.

Question : How do I clean an electronic toothbrush?
I just bought one, and I accidentaly threw away the manual. Are we supposed to clean the whole toothbrush? What if water gets inside? I do believe we have to clean it no matter what, as it is a toilet use and should be water proof. Please help!

Answer:
Don't worry at all.Electronic toothbrushes are totally waterproof. The best way to clean it is the following; Dump a cloth with warm water and some baking soda. With a simple wipe on wipe off, you will have a bright, bacteria free toothbrush!

Question : What is the Best electric toothbrush? I heard of two: Sonicare and Oral B?
I'm planning to get a electric toothbrush and want to know which should I get. I know of two that are popular but not sure which is best. Of course everybody have their likes and dislikes of the two but I just want to get a survey so that I can have a better grasp of which is best suited for me. In your opinion, which brand do you like most and why? Thanks.

Answer:
Sonicare Elite is my top choice. There are many different model designations, but the "motors" are all pretty much the same. The kits are different because they pack different accessories. Some have two brush heads and some have four. Some have a travel bag and some have a wall-mount charger instead of a counter top charger. Just read the label carefully and buy what you need. Bear in mind that you will have to replace the brush heads about every six months, so see if it is cheaper to buy a few extra brush heads in one of the kits. Otherwise, buy a Sonicare, read and follow the directions. The directions are very clear and easy to understand. Sonicare is especially recommended for someone with braces, by the way.

Question : What kind of electric toothbrush should I get?
I'm getting braces soon and my hygienist said to get an electric toothbrush. So what kind should I get that will help take better care of my braces?

If you want to try a Sonicare without taking out a loan, I've got good news for you. I just bought one for THIRTY DOLLARS. It uses two "AA" batteries, so you are not paying for a charger, etc. I have no idea how long the batteries last (yet), but $70 would buy a boat load of batteries. It seems to be equally effective as the rechargeable version with the new batteries.

Question : What do people with eatting disorders use a toothbrush for?
I know it can be used to induce vomiting but is there anything else? My suit mate used to keep a really nasty moldy toothbrush on the sink in our bathroom and i really don't think she was brushing her teeth with it. She threw up a lot but I know she had a lot of health problems so I don't know if it was self induced vomiting.

Question : Why did my toothbrush start to smell bad?
I keep a toothbrush at work in a plastic ziplock bag in a drawer in my desk. I just started doing this a month ago because I decided I like to brush my teeth after lunch. Today I opened my toothbrush bag and the toothbrush smelled terrible! Why did this happen? How come this doesn't happen to my toothbrush at home? What can I do to prevent this from happening in the future? I don't want to have to replace my work toothbrush every few weeks - that would get expensive.

Answer:
get a travel holder for the toothbrush, they need to be able to dry out between uses or bacteria grows and it smells horrendous. A travel holder has holes in it to allow air to move thru, while a baggy will simply keep moisture in.

Question : When did toothbrush and toothbrushes become seperate keywords?
I just noticed recently on Google that toothbrush and toothbrushes were seperate words. I thought, in regards to keywords, the singular and plural versions were the same to both Google and Yahoo. Can someone offer helpful tips and any advice?

Answer:
You are correct that use of plurals and compound keywords is appropriate and anything else, i.e., the singular form is just another piece of spamdex. Good luck!

Question : What can I soak my toothbrush heads in to clean them?
What can I soak my toothbrush heads in to sanitize them? Please tell me how long I need to soak them and with what I need to do it with. I will vote best answer. Thanks for all the great answers guys! I really appreciate it. They were all so good but I had to choose one best answer only.

Answer:
Listerine

Question : What type of toothbrush do you think works best?
My daughter is participating in a Innovation and Invention Fair and wants to innovate a toothbrush. She and her partner want to know toothbrush others prefer and why. They are looking to create a toothbrush that is better at removing plaque-causing bacteria. Thanks for your answers!

Answer:
I love the Crest Spin Brush Pro! It is wonderful at removing plaque. It is also very cheap and easy to replace! I am 49 years old and have used this toothbrush since it came out! My teeth are still good and I always get good dental checkups.I have never lost a tooth for any reason. The dentist says it is a good toothbrush! I have tried electric toothbrushes, but this one is battery operated and it so easy to replace the head.It also does a stellar job of getting my teeth very clean. I love it because once it wears out, I just get a new one!
