This is a Great Unit

I've had the Panasonic Oral Irrigator for three years and like it very much. It's been all over the world with me. The big advantage is that its batteries are removable and replaceable. Read the bad reviews of oral irrigators with internal rechargeable batteries!

I'm buying a new one today because on my current unit the hinge on the filler lid broke. It still works but no longer elegantly.

Good Tooth Irrigator

This replaced a previous model which had worn out over some years. It is used in a motor home where AC power is not available. It does as good a job as home models.

Question : DENTISTS, what power toothbrush do you reccomend for the whole family?
DENTISTS, what power toothbrush do you reccomend for the whole family?

Answer:
I recommend an Oral B rechargeable electric toothbrush. If no-one has braces or is planning to get braces, the rotating brush head works well. You can purchase ones that have two handles and one charging dock. Get extra heads and they come with colours so each person has their own toothbrush head. If anyone has braces, oral B also do a Sonic toothbrush which actually vibrates rather than oscillating. Its great for everyone too and works better with the braces. See their website for more info! http://www.oralb.com/landing.asp

Question : How to use an electric toothbrush?
I just bought an Oral B Cross Action Power brush and was wondering if I just held the toothbrush on each tooth and let it spin or if I use a back and forth brushing motion like I would with a manual brush while the electrical brush head spins on the teeth.

Answer:
The great thing with an electric toothbrush is it does most of the work for you! Just hold the bristles of the brush against one tooth at a time, angle the bristles slightly so they are at about a 45 degree angle towards the gums and let the movements do the work. Spend a few seconds on each tooth and work your way around your mouth. Use light pressure so you dont cause trauma to your gums and dont forget to floss!

Question : Using colgate 360 microsonic power toothbrush after having braces
Is this toothbrush ok for people who have retainers? or is it harmful that it can move teeth because of vibrations?

Answer:
As long as you are not forceful when brushing your teeth. Just use gentle short back and forth motions when brushing. Be sure to angle your toothbrush at 45 degrees towards your gum tissue.

Question : How useful is using the power tip with the oral b electric toothbrush?
I floss and brush regularly, but my dental hygenist regularly hands me the tiny internal brushes. I find them hard to use on the inside (gum side) of the teeth. I noticed that the oral b electric toothbrushes come with a powertip. I wonder if using it is useful in addition to the flossing and brushing.

Answer:
its ok

Question : Do you think I'm entitled to a refund on a battery powered toothbrush I bought from Tesco?
I bought one and in order for it to function, I had to open the bottom of the toothbrush (to insert the batteries which were included) with a coin. I and my mum tried every which way we could to get the damn thing open and I nearly dislocated my thumb! I decided to take it back to Customer Service at Tesco and asked them for a refund. I got no reply and she disappeared out the back and I noticed she managed to get it open herself with a coin. I said,"Well, can you close it now and do it again, to make sure". However, whilst she was doing so, the head of the brush touched the dirty desk and phone and I said, "Well, I can't use it now, it’s touched everything”. She said, “But there’s nothing wrong with it”. So, I was left without a refund. What do you think?

Answer:
Stupidity runs rampant in the world today. It’s clear by the responses who the idiots were that gave you thumbs down, Jus Curiuos (who can’t spell), susie x, and Medium Dave. These idiots probably work in customer service too. The very term customer service is to ensure a satisfied customer and a repeat customer.

Question : Why does my digital TV picture go mental ?
Everytime my wife brushes her teeth with her electric (battery powered) toothbrush, the picture on the TV (which is downstairs) goes mad. How can this happen??

Answer:
we have the same problem when the boiler comes on, i know its a pain it drives me mad, and were told that some digital boxes are sensitive. Have you tried using it in a different room??? i know this is a pain but worth a try, we moved the TV and it made a difference good luck

Question : I was told by my dentist to get the sonicare toothbrush?
It 'sgoing to cost me $119. For those who have used it, have you seen a huge difference than using a regular power brush?

Answer:
My dentist told me the same thing, I bought a $5 battery operated tooth brush from wal-mart... next appointment my dentist commended me for making the investment and said my teeth were in great shape.....

Question : Is the voltage output of power outlets in Switzerland different from the U.S.?
I am traveling to Switzerland and I would like to be able to charge my electronics that i bring with me (digital camera, ipod touch, electric toothbrush) but i have heard that even with the proper adaptor (changes the USA plug to the European kind), the voltages are different and my device would be fried when i plug it in to charge. I am not sure if this is true and i need an answer fast thanks

Answer:
USA 120v, 60Hz. Switzerland 230v, 50Hz. http://www.kropla.com/electric2.htm
