By rotating at a rapid rate (3,850 rpm) through a 110-degree arc, the round, cup-shaped brush head on this electric toothbrush's power handle scrubs away decay-causing plaque from between teeth and below gum lines better than a manual toothbrush. The brush head is small, too, and therefore can be easily manipulated around adult- and child-size teeth. Because it's battery operated (one AA battery, not included), the cool, blue, translucent-plastic toothbrush is perfect for traveling anywhere in the world, even where electricity is not available. Replacement brush heads are available. --Fred Brack

Gold-star Winner
With a new battery, it has the power to clean and polish teeth without any discomfort. Keep it at the kitchen sink and find it handy to brush after meals. Also, I found a new use: to clean a crevice in my blender cover. It has no cords to plug in, so it is easy to store in a handy place, ready for use.

Cool blue toothbrush!
This is one of three different brands and/or models of rotary toothbrushes I have recently purchased. ( Three kids = three different toothbrushes!) Reasons to like this one are that it is very portable, the cool blue color makes it easy to tell from other toothbrushes that may be in your bathroom, and it is fun. (Anything that encourages toothbrushing and is effective can't be bad, can it?) On the downside, I am having difficulty locating replacement heads for this brush. Supposedly, replacements are available, but where to find them is a very important question to ask yourself before you purchase the toothbrush.

Pro-Whitening Toothbrush Replacement Heads, Medium
Customer Review :
It hurts and sparkles.
This brush head really isn't that different from the other Crest Spin Brush Pro brush heads. The only difference I have experienced is that the bristles have pretty sparkles in them, and there is a rubber scrapper in the head.
It claims to whiten teeth, probably with the scrapper, but it really just irritates mine. Don't use it if you have sensitive teeth, like I do.
I did not notice any whitening, and neither did my friends.

*BIG WHITE GRIN* for Crest Spinbrush Pro Whitening!
Maybe it's all in my head but I notice a REMARKABLE difference in the color of my teeth using the Crest Spinbrush Pro Whitening heads. I agree that there wasn't much change from the original Spinbrush Pro other than the sparkles (very pretty, btw!) in the bristles, and the rubber "flap", but in my opinion, that "flap" is probably what helps remove those surface stains the most. Surely everyone's teeth are different, so I imagine not everyone will see as big of an improvement as I, or others have, but I will certainly highly reccomend trying the heads.
Combine the Crest Spinbrush Pro Whitening head with Crest Vivid Whitening toothpaste and you're ready to SPARKLE! =D

Inconsistent manufacturing, but great if you don't get a dud.
At first, I hated this toothbrush. It seemed to consume batteries way too quickly and leaked from the top after use which made a mess on my bathroom counter. After the first one finally broke, I figured I would give Crest the benefit of the doubt and get another one because it was so cheap. Best decision I've ever made. The new brush is fantastic. Not one complaint about the replacement. It still consumes batteries quicker than I'd like it to (needs replacing about once every 3 weeks) but is a small sacrifice for the brush being so cheap. It cleans my teeth extremely well. I could see a difference with the 2nd cleaning. I switched from a manual brush, so of course I expected a little better cleaning, but it exceeded my expectations. By teeth actually shined in the light instead of just reflecting the light. I noticed that my teeth were substantially whiter after about the 1st month of use. Very compact design and is pretty quiet. If you plan on buying one of these and are switching from a manual brush, be warned that the vibrating takes some getting used to, but is easily overcome. I highly recommend this to anyone, and am using it as stocking stuffers for my family. Combine this toothbrush with Listerine antiseptic mouthwash and Colgate Total plus whitening toothpaste for long lasting fresh breath and sparkling white teeth.

Broke almost immediately
The design must be defective, because I'm reading review after review where people have a similar experience. My spinbrush failed after just a few days. It seems that water somehow got into the battery compartment and quickly corroded the electronics. I've owned previous models of spinbrush and they held up pretty well. It seems that this new 2-speed variety of brush has a design defect. Definitely not recommended.

Poor design......
After my Oral-B battery brush finally died, I decided to try the Crest brand battery brush. Big mistake! First of all, it took 3 different people to finally get the battery cover off to replace the two batteries. I used cooking oil on the plastic parts so it would come off easier the next time the batteries needed replacement. That did help, although I was surprised how quickly this would be necessary.
The brush does spin quite fast and with a fair amount of power.
Compared to the Oral-B, this is a poor design....plus it uses 2 batteries instead of one.
Get the Oral-B. A much better buy, only one battery needed and better quality.

Poorly designed, expensive piece of junk
I have owned quite a few battery powered or rechargeable toothbrushes and this is definitely the worst. It has, in my opinion, two big problems: the fact that it is not waterproof and the annoying ability it has to go through many, many batteries very fast.
My Spinbrush's consumes a lot: I brush my teeth three times a day and a set of batteries only last about two weeks. I am not sure if it is defective, but it would certainly be expensive in the long run. Please note that I used 'would' and not 'will'. I don't expect this toothbrush to survive as it is certainly not waterproof. I use the term waterproof loosely here, because I don't mean that you can't take it into the shower and use it there, or that water will get into it if you drop it in a bathtub full of water -that would be asking a lot. What I mean is that, during normal toothbrushing activities water collects into the battery case quite easily and quickly. If you are very careful you can empty it, dry the batteries, leave the toothbrush open and let it dry, but it is a bit of a pain if you ask me (and the case is also hard to open, which doesn't make things easier).
It is quite a shame, because as a toothbrush, it does a decent job and leaves my teeth feeling nice and clean. Unfortunately the two big cons make it a tool I would not recommend to anyone.

HAS WORKED WELL FOR A YEAR NOW
I Purchased the Crest Spinbrush about 12 months ago and it has worked very well for me. It cleans as good, if not better than the Sonic Care toothbrush that I used in the past and they are really cheap. You can simply purchase replacement heads when they wear out. It runs on two normal alkaline batteries and I use rechargeable batteries to save money. The toothbrush has a very good battery life and can go months without having to replace the batteries. My teeth have never felt cleaner. I highly recommend the Crest Spinbrush.

Question : Sonicare Toothbrush????
I am currently using an Oral-B Vitality Sonic toothbrush that i bought for 20 bucks at Target. Is this good enough for periodontal gum recession or would a sonicare toothbrush be better? If so, which Sonicare toothbrush (there are many)? Also, how would it be better?
this is a link to my current toothbrush
http://www.oralbprofessional.com/us/products/power/powvitalitysonic.asp
Answer:
I prefer the Oral-B Triumph over the Sonicare. It just works better for me. The Vitality is good as long as you brush often enough. And with periodontal issues you must must must floss at least once a day.

Question : What do you want in a kids' electric toothbrush?
In terms of power, batteries, weight, cost, charging station, maintanence cost, a little cartoon character on it...etc.
Answer:
I dont want an ordinary toothbrush with the straight-flat edge, more like the flexible version and reach in all places. Rechargeable batteries, minty flavor toothbrush, a free sample of recommended toothpaste when it is sold, the toothbrush doesn't become that over-worn.

Question : What is that one powered toothbrush that can also has a tool that cleans your tongue?
I remember seeing a powered toothbrush a while back but forgot wat it was. It has multiple heads i guess. one for your teeth and the other for the tongue. I heard your tongue is the one that makes ur breath smell.
I just want something good! What do you guys recommend?
Answer:
My dentist recommended "Interplak' made by Conair available at drugstores, target, etc., and I have used it for 2 years with good results.
The system has a plastic container that you put water (or mouth wash) in, and includes a toothbrush and (4) tools, including the toungue scraper. The other tools will jet the water through your gums, removing food particles.
It's an easy, fast and inexpensive way to get your teeth really clean, and costs about $ 30.00.

Question : How to use an electric toothbrush?
I just bought an Oral B Cross Action Power brush and was wondering if I just held the toothbrush on each tooth and let it spin or if I use a back and forth brushing motion like I would with a manual brush while the electrical brush head spins on the teeth.
Answer:
The great thing with an electric toothbrush is it does most of the work for you! Just hold the bristles of the brush against one tooth at a time, angle the bristles slightly so they are at about a 45 degree angle towards the gums and let the movements do the work. Spend a few seconds on each tooth and work your way around your mouth. Use light pressure so you dont cause trauma to your gums and dont forget to floss!
