Motion? I call it Stalled!

I'd be happy if I got a month's worth of use from a set of batteries. Mine is useless after a week. A serious decline in power is noted after two days. The slightest pressure against the teeth stops the motion cold, even though a slight vibration can still be felt in the handle.

The toothbrush handle is heavy and bulky. I suppose it needs to be to accomadate the batteries. I haven't tried to replace the brush. It seems pointless to spend money on something that doesn't work well.

It did give my teeth that "dentist-clean" feel, but only for the first two days before the batteries started pooping out.

What a feeling!

I recently purchased this product a few weeks ago and I just love it! I bought it because it was late out and the only store open was out of normal toothbrushes- i got mine for about $6 i think. After using it twice daily my teeth feel incredible! It's like just coming out from the dentist's office after only a few moments spent brushing. The price is good, the design and ergonomics are good, and the brushing is great- what more could you ask for? Some people here weren't happy with the battery life, but so far I haven't had any problems. And even if they did start to die after about a month, so what? Just replace them- no big deal. For all the benefits, it's more than worth it. As for the handle being too heavy, come on- that's just nit-picking. I love this toothbrush so much that I actually took the time to write this- and I have purchased dozens of things from Amazon that I'm very pleased with but have never written about.

TERRIFIC TOOTHBRUSH

I was on a world cruise and my Sonicare battery brush went dead, had a charger, but no power.I was in Wellington NZ and purchase this Colgate Battery operated toothbrush and a set of heads on the idea I would buy another Sonicare,NO WAY.This is the best toothbrush I have ever had!!!!I just changed the batteries, after 4 months of twice daily use.My teeth and gum are better than when I started my 109 day trip!Perhaps the people who provide a poor report, got a Lemon?

A great toothbrush, great results.

I just came back from the dentist and he was impressed with how clean my teeth were. I credit it all to the brush. It is not, however, a stand-in for flossing. A combination of the two is necessary. I disagree with those who say it eats batteries. I've had mine for months and haven't felt the slightest indication of it slowing down. My only qualm is that the replacement heads seem hard to find. They weren't at my local Target so I am ordering them online.

Not worth Spending When other good product are there in market.

It was the worst experience ever. After few days batteries got weak, it does not clean in corner. after brushing I feel there is still some thing sticking on corner of upper molar. Cleaning is worst. Does not oscillate with application of some pressure. Head got loosen up in fifteen days. I tried to replace with another but no use. Never buy this product.

Questions & Answers
Question : Why does my digital TV picture go mental ?
Everytime my wife brushes her teeth with her electric (battery powered) toothbrush, the picture on the TV (which is downstairs) goes mad. How can this happen??

Answer:
we have the same problem when the boiler comes on, i know its a pain it drives me mad, and were told that some digital boxes are sensitive. Have you tried using it in a different room??? i know this is a pain but worth a try, we moved the TV and it made a difference good luck

Question : Is it better to use a manual or battery powered toothbrush?
I have been using a battery powered one for a few years and my dentist says my gumline is getting to high meaning I am brushing too hard, but at the same time I haven't gotten any cavities while using the battery powered toothbrush. When I used the manual toothbrush I had a few more cavities, but my gumline wasn't affected.

Answer:
Yes, a powered brush is much better. The rotations can reach much more than a manual brush. You can brush for 15 mins and not reach as much as 2 mins on a manual brush...I read somewhere. But yes, you do have to use less pressure than w/a reg brush. I had the same problem with my gums, they were taking a beating. Until my dentist taught me how. Let the brush do the work for you. Never, never scrub. When u scrub, even if u don't touch the gums, the vibrations can damage them. Go in tiny circles, gently tickling ur gums, spend a few seconds on each tooth them glide it to the next tooth. You don't have to apply much pressure. Let the brush to the work. If you keep pressing too hard, hold the brush with 3 fingers and glide. Most power brushes work better with less pressure. I use to use Oral b but switched to Sonicare, super soft bristles. It keeps my teeth really white, my doc said don't need teeth bleaching and kept the cavities at bay. But remember, no scrubbing and go gentle!

Question : Oral-B Cross Action Power Electric Toothbrush?
Ok my toothbrush won't stay off.. like i press down the "Off" portion of the button and it stays off for like a second, but every time I even so much as touch any part of the brush, it turns back on! like when i go to put it in the holder, it turns itself on.. it is really quite annoying.. is there anything I can do? Or should I just buy a different kind of electric toothbrush?

Answer:
Sometimes, dried toothpaste sticks underneath the control switch. Try rinsing it really well in hot water.

Question : What is that one powered toothbrush that can also has a tool that cleans your tongue?
I remember seeing a powered toothbrush a while back but forgot wat it was. It has multiple heads i guess. one for your teeth and the other for the tongue. I heard your tongue is the one that makes ur breath smell. I just want something good! What do you guys recommend?

Answer:
My dentist recommended "Interplak' made by Conair available at drugstores, target, etc., and I have used it for 2 years with good results. The system has a plastic container that you put water (or mouth wash) in, and includes a toothbrush and (4) tools, including the toungue scraper. The other tools will jet the water through your gums, removing food particles. It's an easy, fast and inexpensive way to get your teeth really clean, and costs about $ 30.00.

Question : do you prefer battery powered or normal toothbrush?
do you prefer battery powered or normal toothbrush?

Answer:
i enjoy the feel of the batteryed powered when you know it is cleaning i also love water picks they are some wonderful creations that make the mouth feel clean and nice

Question : Hi guys, what is the best powered toothbrush that one can get in the market?
I mean there are tons out in the market, but what do you reckon is the best to get currently. Something that would not only clean, but also help to sort of floss, clean between the teeth, dislodge plaque without damaging the teeth, and prevent plaque build up. My doctor cousin recommended ORAL B SONIC COMPLETE, But when I checked the oral b website they have a latest model called Oral-B® Triumph™ ProfessionalCare™ 9000. Now I am tempted to go with the Triump Professionalcare. Have any of you used any of these models? What do you recommend based on your experience. I am obsessed when it comes to my teeth. In fact my first cavity was a result of over flossing! and not eating sweets. Please help someone who acts like MONK when it comes to his teeth!

Answer:
I know exactly what you mean! I'm the same way about brushing and flossing. The Sonicare by Phillips is the one I've found to be the best. It last for years with out having to replace it, holds a full charge for a week making it great for taking it on vacations without having to take the base. It does an excellent job at cleaning the teeth by using an ultrasonic vibration that works with toothpaste and your saliva gently removing all debris in between and below the gum line. After using it, you really do feel like you just had your teeth professionally cleaned. I should know since I've used and recommended them for the past ten years and I am in dentistry.

Question : I bought my hubby a sonicare elite model electric toothbrush for christmas?
he always used manual so he was kind of taken aback at the power of the brush. I caught him sneaking back and using the manual one. He only uses the electric one after keeping it off the charger so that some of the power is rundown. It cost a decent penny, how can i get him to use it exclusively?

Answer:
If he doesn't like using it, I wouldn't make him ... The same thing happened to me actually. My fiancee bought me one (because I wanted it!) but I ended up not liking it. It just wasn't for me, and I switched back to a manual. As for the Sonicare, my sweetie uses it exclusively and it has worked out perfect for the both of us :)

Question : Which electronic toothbrush is best?
Which electronic toothbrush is better Oral-B Triumph Professional Care 9000 or Sonicare Elite 9500 Custom Power Toothbrush. Since the price for both of them is similar, i would like to buy one which is more comfortable for sensitive gums, any suggestions.

Answer:
Sonicare Elite is my top choice. There are many different model designations, but the "motors" are all pretty much the same. The kits are different because they pack different accessories. Some have two brush heads and some have four. Some have a travel bag and some have a wall-mount charger instead of a counter top charger. Just read the label carefully and buy what you need. Bear in mind that you will have to replace the brush heads about every six months, so see if it is cheaper to buy a few extra brush heads in one of the kits. Otherwise, buy a Sonicare, read and follow the directions. The directions are very clear and easy to understand. Sonicare is especially recommended for someone with braces, by the way. If you want to try a Sonicare without taking out a loan, I've got good news for you. I just bought one for THIRTY DOLLARS. It uses two "AA" batteries, so you are not paying for a charger, etc. I have no idea how long the batteries last (yet), but $70 would buy a boat load of batteries. It seems to be equally effective as the rechargeable version with the new batteries.

Question : Questions about Oral-B power toothbrushes?
Well, I don't know if the brushes are designed in a standard for all Oral-B handles or there are different brushes for different handles. http://www.theessentials.com/jump.jsp?itemID=1002&itemType=PRODUCT&path=1%2C3%2C115%2C312%2C319&iProductID=1002 and is that brush provided with a charger or do we have to purchase a seperate one ? Thanks a lot

Answer:
If you check around on the Oral B website, you will see that there are different heads for different electric toothbrush models. Most of the companies that make electric toothbrushes do that. I guess it creates built in obsolescence of your product in the name of progress.
