Question : How do I brush my 20 mos old's teeth?
My 20 mos old son rarely lets me brush his teeth. I give him tons of praise when he opens his mouth of 5 seconds to let me brush them but this is rare. I've tried just plain holding him down, begging and pleading, praise, yummy tasting toothpaste, brand new powered toothbrush that he picked out! I'm scared his teeth will fall out! We don't let him eat lots of sugary food but he does eat some. Well he grow out of this? Should I force him? Help!
Answer:
We have double sinks so we got a step stool for my 18 month old and he has always brushed his teeth when we do. We set out a small Pooh Dixie cup and he has his little tooth brush and paste ready...just like us. It has worked for us ever since he could walk.

Question : Which is better a battery powered toothbrush or a rechargeable toothbrush?
I'm currently looking into battery powered and rechargeable toothbrushes but I'm not sure which is better and which one to go with. I am torn between the oralb vitality and the oral b advanced power 400 series and the oral b cross action power. All of which are battery powered except for the vitality. The vitality brush heads all except for the sonic vitality brushhead fits the oralb advanced power. So my question is which is better, battery powered or rechargeable?

Question : Questions about Oral-B power toothbrushes?
Well, I don't know if the brushes are designed in a standard for all Oral-B handles or there are different brushes for different handles.
http://www.theessentials.com/jump.jsp?itemID=1002&itemType=PRODUCT&path=1%2C3%2C115%2C312%2C319&iProductID=1002
and is that brush provided with a charger or do we have to purchase a seperate one ?
Thanks a lot
Answer:
If you check around on the Oral B website, you will see that there are different heads for different electric toothbrush models. Most of the companies that make electric toothbrushes do that. I guess it creates built in obsolescence of your product in the name of progress.

Question : Is there any different between Battery Power Toothbrush and Plug-in Power Toothbrush?
I had plug-in power tooth brush but it got re-charged too much or something and it broke after using 1 year even though I paid over $100 for it. So, I am thinking to get the one you put batteries in it, do you think it doesn't work as good as plug-in one since they are very cheap? Thanks.
I mean *is there any differences*
Answer:
No difference between the 2 in terms of cleaning your teeth. They both get the job done. I used to have a plug-in brush, dunno what happened to it though. Now have a battery operated one, and it works just as well! Just have to replace the battery from time to time, and the brush head every 3 months or when necessary.

Question : Sonic, Waterpik, Interplak, Oral B power toothbrush?
I want to take better care of my teeth but I'm not sure what products that I should get. I don't have dental insurance so this is something that is a high priority to me. Which of these products do you recommend? Have you seen a difference in using the products? What is something that I should be aware of when using the products? Thanks.

Question : Healthy Foods to Lose Weight?
Ok, I know I am overweight... I don't need anyone to tell me to eat healthier but I have two issues. Time and Braces. I was working on eating healthy foods before I got braces last August. Now, all of the healthy foods I had worked into my diet are out. And the one thing that was stopping my sugar cravings (hard candy) is out. Any suggestions.
Just an FYI, I can't eat hard foods including nuts, anything with seeds, raw vegitables or salad (unless I am home and near my power toothbrush). Oh, and I am lactose intollerant.
Answer:
Try the sugar free Jello pudding for your sweet cravings. Also Weight Watchers frozen fudge bars are huge, chocolate and high in fiber. ( don't know how that works with the lactose intolelrace)
Really increase your fiber. Oatmeal, high fiber cereal, breads. Soups are really good for you too. Just don't eat creamy ones.

Answer:
My dentist told me the same thing, I bought a $5 battery operated tooth brush from wal-mart... next appointment my dentist commended me for making the investment and said my teeth were in great shape.....
