Great Deal on Replacement Heads

These heads easily run about $35 in retail stores. Signing up for subscription for this item is a good idea, especially with the discount. I only with that they had subscriptions that delivered in longer intervals, like once a year instead of once every 6 months.

I am very pleased with these brushes. Frankly, they were added to another purchase to qualify for free shipment. They fit my Sonicare Elite toothbrush perfectly and do a magnificent cleaning job. Their price is below Rite Aid's.

Recommended by my dentist

The Sonicare toothbrush was recommended to me by my dentist a couple of years ago. She told me it was the best toothbrush I could use, and I definitely think she was right. Like other reviewers have said, the replacement heads are expensive. But costly dental work is MORE expensive! These brush heads are just the right size for the average adult mouth and get my teeth sparkly clean. The health of my gums has improved greatly since using the Sonicare, too. Here's a hint...Purchase these replacement heads under Amazon's subscription plan and you win two ways: You save money and you don't have to worry about ordering. It's all taken care of you automatically by Amazon. :-)

Wow no way I've got plaque

Well designed with long battery life. Excellent at removing plaque and stimulating the gums. Of course you still have to floss, but you won't believe how clean your teeth are after the first time and every time you use it.

pleased with the power

I thought the toothbrush was a bit more powerful then the units before it which made the clean feeling even better. The product works great and I loved that it came with 2 brush heads rather then just one size. I also love the UV cleaner because it makes a great storage place for the brush head and it also kills the germs.

It is the best!

I have used Sonicare for years. I must say it takes a little getting use to with the Sonicare flex. But when you do after a couple of days? It is the best toothbrush ever! My husband and I absolutely love it! My dentist can't believe how white my teeth are for my age ( I am 58) and I don't bleach them. And yes, I drink coffee and smoke. No stains on my teeth. The only con we have is that it is too expensive. I highly recommend

'Next Generation' Electric Toothbrush

This product was recommended by my dentist and I am glad they did. It is a much more vigorous action than my rotating head brush. By chance I found it has a feature that gradually builds up to full power while you get used to it.

This is my second Sonicare toothbrush. My first lasted for almost 10 years before the battery gave out. This new one is even more fantastic than the old model. I wouldn't have thought it was possible, but it's like getting a cleaning at the dentist every time I use it. Definitely a keeper!

Effective little brush

The brush took some getting used to since the brushing style is different from other power brushes. It tingled and tickled for the first week but after that, I was fine. It has worked well. The holder does seem to get more dirty than my last power brush but that is a small issue.

Good plaque remover

Sonicare is easy to use and seems to do a very good job in keeping plaque away. It was recommended by my dentist.

the best toothbrush? probably

This is a great toothbrush, I have owned one for about 6 months, and bought this as a present for my sister. She loves it, and her boyfriend was so impressed when he tried it that he ordered one for himself the same day. Are there other, more expensive sonic care toothbrushes out there? Yes, but it seems to me you are paying (a lot) more for some bells and whistles. This is the essential sonic care toothbrush, and performs it's job very, very well.

Loyal Oral-B Customer

I bought this toothbrush as a replacement for an older Oral-B toothbrush that finally died. I must have had that toothbrush for at least 10 years and I loved it. I'm not as happy with this new one as I should be for what it cost.

It's a little larger in size and heavier than the older one. The display screen is kind of fun but it only displays images when the toothbrush is running and when it's running you need to have it in your mouth to keep from splattering everywhere. So, you can't really see the display.

The on/off button and the speed selector button seem to be located right where I grip the toothbrush. I keep turning it off and/or changing the speed without intending to change it.

One of the features that made me select this toothbrush is the fact that it will run for approx. two weeks on a charge. I haven't had the opportunity to check this. The first 9400 I bought had a defective charging system so I had to return it. I think there are some lower priced Oral-B Toothbrushes that I would have been happier with.

A true must-have that makes brushing enjoyable!

I received this as a gift 1.5 yrs ago, and I must say...it is arguably one of the best gifts ever! I went from brushing (& hating it) and my teeth having tons of rough "funk" on them all the time...to using the Oral-B Triumph power toothbrush and having both clean feeling teeth and enjoying the brushing process.

PROS:
-Cleans teeth extremely well.
-Enjoyable.
-LCD screen with charge indicator, timer, & smiley face when you reach two minutes to provide a sense of accomplishment.
-Changes in brush motion ever 30 secs help you keep track of time elapsed.
-Brushheads do last a long time, several months each.

CONS:
-Loud, but I suppose this cannot be helped.
-Included plastic travel case has flimsy retaining mechanisms that break easily.
-Brushheads cost alot compared to a standard toothbrush...but hey...it's worth it completely!

You will not regret a purchase of this or another power toothbrush. It's a true necessity that will enable you to enjoy brushing and keep from putting it off.

Questions & Answers
Question : wats a good power toothbrush?
under 20

Answer:
Seriously, my dentist tried to sell me one that's like, $125, which I did not buy. I use the Crest Spin Brush. It's only $8 and the heads are replaceable. My teeth feel nice and clean. I also floss. It's nice and cheap.

Question : Does anyone know where I can buy a Dora the Explorer toothbrush? Not a battery powered one?
im from northern ireland

Answer:
Any drugstore should have it. Or you can try going to www.colgate.com and see if they can ship one or it just might give you a local drugstore that carries the Dora toothbrush.

Question : What is the best use for a high-powered electric toothbrush?
and do you floss after? Temptation Dover Soles, is a true humans' wish, which can be granted.

Answer:
You've gotten the creative juices flowing here. I think I will looking to see if I can Spot one of these next time I'm shopping. What a clever and less that obvious device. I will let you know if anything cums of it. No floss required.

Question : Is wireless transmission of power over short distances feasible?
It seems that everything is going wireless these days by using radio and infrared communication. Bluetooth is being put into most portable electronics, everyone including kindergarteners carry cell phones, laptops are all wi-fi ready, wireless mice and keyboards are sitting untethered on people's desks, but we are all still plugged in to the wall. (I know laptops break free from time to time, but as they get older, they tend to get plugged in more often.) Will we see wireless transmission of power to our appliances any time soon? I realize that this has been done over very short distances, like rechargeable toothbrushes and recharging pads for portable electronics, but I want to know for distances from 1-50 feet. Or would it be too dangerous to have such huge quantities of power floating through the air? If we used directed energy, would people get fried it they crossed the beam? What do you think? Can anyone provide studies that suggest that this is not feasible? Also, please read the question, I am talking about transmitting power over a distance from 1-50 feet. More takers please! I only got one good answer so far!

Answer:
Yes. For distances of 50 feet or so, it is definitely possible to transmit power. A RADAR is a good example. Think of a microwave oven with a directional antenna. The more power you want to transmit, the more dangerous it is to a person that gets in the way of the beam. Not really "cancer" dangerous. More like "crispy fried" dangerous. The problem is that it's very inefficient to transmit power in this way. When you transmit electricity via wire, you only "use" power if you turn on the appliance. When you "beam" energy, it is gone whether or not something is making use of the energy on the other end. You might be able to have some sort of directional system that only turns on when needed, but then if you wanted to move the object that is receiving power, you'd need some sort of automated tracking system with the transmitter continually redirecting power to the moving appliance. And if you don't need to move the object receiving power, why not just hook up a cord and save yourself the extra expense? Also, the process of converting regulated electricity into RF and back is enormously wasteful to say nothing of the power lost over the transmission distance. And like I said before, it's very dangerous to transmit large amounts of power this way. You'd have to think of an application where "beaming" energy is better than our current "plug in and recharge" model (like your bluetooth headset / laptop computer for example). You'd want an application that needs very little power, and is fairly close to the power source. One practical application I know of is RFID tags. They are little microchips that are powered by RF energy. They are used to store information that can be retrieved when the RF-transmitting "reader" asks for it. I suppose solar powered calculators (and any other solar powered device for that matter) are technically another example. Power is "beamed" from the light source to your calculator.

Question : Healthy Foods to Lose Weight?
Ok, I know I am overweight... I don't need anyone to tell me to eat healthier but I have two issues. Time and Braces. I was working on eating healthy foods before I got braces last August. Now, all of the healthy foods I had worked into my diet are out. And the one thing that was stopping my sugar cravings (hard candy) is out. Any suggestions. Just an FYI, I can't eat hard foods including nuts, anything with seeds, raw vegitables or salad (unless I am home and near my power toothbrush). Oh, and I am lactose intollerant.

Answer:
Try the sugar free Jello pudding for your sweet cravings. Also Weight Watchers frozen fudge bars are huge, chocolate and high in fiber. ( don't know how that works with the lactose intolelrace) Really increase your fiber. Oatmeal, high fiber cereal, breads. Soups are really good for you too. Just don't eat creamy ones.

Question : I bought my hubby a sonicare elite model electric toothbrush for christmas?
he always used manual so he was kind of taken aback at the power of the brush. I caught him sneaking back and using the manual one. He only uses the electric one after keeping it off the charger so that some of the power is rundown. It cost a decent penny, how can i get him to use it exclusively?

Answer:
If he doesn't like using it, I wouldn't make him ... The same thing happened to me actually. My fiancee bought me one (because I wanted it!) but I ended up not liking it. It just wasn't for me, and I switched back to a manual. As for the Sonicare, my sweetie uses it exclusively and it has worked out perfect for the both of us :)

Question : Toothbrush for Braces??
I'm getting braces in about a week, I had the spacers put in yesterday. Will a battery powered toothbrush make it easier to brush my teeth? will it damage the brackets? what would you suggest?

Answer:
Hi! I'm a dentist & practicing Orthodentist as well. With regards with your problem on toothbrushes, I would suggest to try to talk to your dentist about it. Cause in my case, as an Ortho, I'm providing a toothbrushes for my patients with braces. It's a special toothbrushes that has a curve area in the middle of the toothbrush so as to fill up the spaces that your braces will occupy when you will be brushing. I see to it that I also provide a interdental brushes too to my patients to make it easier for them to maintain good oral health. I guess when you'll be asking your ortho he will provide you more info about it just the way I'm providing infos & as well as toothbrushes & interdental brushes for my ortho patients too.. By the way Oral B & Colgate has also braces toothbrushes that's available in the drugstores or markets too.. Though battery operated brushes can help you maintained a good health, It's still important to have a specific tool for a specific instances.. Hope this can help you alot..

Question : How to care for my bonded tooth?
In December 2006, in a sports accident I had my front tooth broken in half horizontally.- next day it was thankfully bonded back on. - you can obviously see the difference through the colour I was wondering how I should care for the tooth. When I look closely now I can see the line where The crack goes across. (-dont know if that was visible before, like if the bonding covered it or not since I didnt really check). I've had a custom mouthguard made for me for sports which I use during every sport now. I dont bite into ANYTHING with my front teeth (no sandwhiches, etc) I only eat foods I can cut and places directly past the tooth. I have been using a powered crest spinbrush toothbrush with an extra soft head and Colgate Total and Crest Pro-Health. How should i be caring for and maybe help the tooth heal itself? I've really been considering this and am probably getting it tomorrow... Colgate Luminous toothpaste. It is supposed to contain minerals to help restore tooth enamal! Opinions? I think its "bonded," I dont knew exactly what they did but they re-attached the broken part of the tooth to the top part of the tooth which was still intact (dint know the name for what they did, but I heard something about bonding and they also mentioned they dont know how long it will hold, maybe forever maybe a very short time... confusing!!). Also, the texture is somewhat different on the portion of the re-attached tooth. kind of going along with the first answer ... I actually found the piece that was broken off and they used THAT piece of the tooth and put that back on, not a composite, its the actual piece! I can tell because it has a certain small spot where its a bit discolored from before. And when I went in after that to take my impression for my mouthguard, the assistant that did the impression told me it could be like a broken bone and may take up to 6 months to heal. The dentist said that since Im still young and have good blood flow through my teeth it could heal or something. (When the piece was broken off, and was found and taken back home for the night, I kept it in milk to not dry it out or anything and they were actually able to use that piece even though the assistant almost laughed at us when we said we saved the tooth and said they cant do anything with it when we came in, but she ended up helping the dentist use that piece, I bet she felt dumb)

Answer:
Sorry to tell you, but a tooth cannot heal itself once it is broken. I broke my front tooth when I was 6. Unfortunetely I had to get a rootcanal, and then the broken part was 'bonded' back on. What they did to it, and most probably to yours, was put white filling called composite to replace the broken part. Unfortunetely, composite is hard to match to the tooths natural enamel color. It will always look slightly different. Another bad thing about composite is that with time it darkens, and cannot be bleached. You'll have to get the composite changed every few years to match with your other teeth or it will become very visible. It's true that you have to be careful with it now. The tooth is now weakened and could break off if you eat a baguette, or bite into an apple...Your best bet would be to get a veneer. IThe best way I can describe it is that it's like a fake nail for your tooth. The dentist will prepare the tooth (pretty much shave off the front .5mm) and take an impression to later fit the veneer. It puts the strenth back; sort of. It will look much better and match better because it's made out of porceline. It will be shinny like your other teeth too. I don't know if you've noticed, but if you dry your broken tooth, it isn't shinny like the others but mat. Down side to a veneer: It doesn't bleach either, so you have to take good care of the other teeth. You'll get the opposite effect here. One white tooth, and the others darker. The only other thing is that it could un-cement, but can be put back on. Just be careful with it, and avoid it if you can, but don't stress if you forget and eat a sandwich.

Question : which is the best power toothbrush mention the name of the company and model name please?
which is the best power toothbrush mention the name of the company and model name please?

Answer:
Any thing that you like is the best. Because you will only use a brush that you like. We like rotadent tooth brushes. But you can get the same results from good techniquea and most importantly consistency.
